We need harsher penalties for people who withdraw when the queue pops

Nothing is more annoying than having to wait 20 minutes for the queue to pop and someone withdraws and then having to wait yet another 20 minutes for the queue to pop again when I should have only had to wait 20 minutes, but because someone withdrew immediately or was afk when the queue popped, another 20 minutes of wait time is often tacked on.

There is nothing hard about staying at your PC or PS while you are in queue. I can remain at my desk while in queue so can everybody else.

It is not that hard to hold it if you need to use the bathroom. I can hold it in for an hour or so. It is not like you will be in the dungeon for more than an hour unless you are in an extreme practice party or whatever or you get a party of all people who level jumped that shouldn't have and don't know what they are doing.

If it is really that of an emergency, ask someone to watch your queue.

While I agree with the sentiment I'm not sure what more they can do, I mean they added the chime, made it louder. Perhaps if the timer runs to zero without input you get a 20min lockout like leaving early? I have no idea if it's doable but I feel it's a decent compromise.

If you wanted a first time clear, perhaps queue as something that is needed. But I already know you're a DPS player with a tank queue expectation.

You are not qualified to dictate how easy it should be for a stranger to sit still or suppress their biological functions. Nor are other people answerable to you for declining or missing a queue pop.

If you don't want to deal with people declining or missing queue pops for reasons that are none of your business, form your own group in /partyfinder.

You already get a 30min penalty if you withdraw from the duty a third time for the day and for all subsequent withdaws.

There is already a penalty. You're moved to the back of the queue when you requeue, and after 3rd time of dropping queue, you get a 30m lockout.

Exactly what kind of penalty are you asking for?

I agree that it is frustrating as I main a DPS and know you can be waiting for a very long time, especially when it's a story mission and you just want to get on with more story, but I don't think people go out of there way to miss the queue popping. Things happen. They could have been making coffee, answering the door getting the phone, being nagged by the wife or kids. When I can I drag friends online to make a party to prevent problems but most times you can only grin and bear it.

Bruh. Who are you to tell people when they can or can’t go to the bathroom. You do realize that some people may not have a Bladder of Steel like yourself. Or may suffer from bladder or kidney issues that that prompt urgency.

Holding is actually quite bad for your body. It leads to conditions such as frequent UTIs to kidney infections. And those lead to worse things. Like being in the hospital for dialysis. Doesn’t sound like a fun time.

This isn’t even considering other things. I’ve missed queues before when one of my cats had a seizure. Some people have children, or maybe they are caring for an elderly or sick family member that needs them at that moment. Sorry, but some things are a bit more important.

Missing a queue happens. Frustrating or not, it will pop again. Just do something else in the meantime, and stop getting so worked up about it. If you don’t want to wait, form a premade.
