Housing demolition

So, I lost my house. I'm almost sure it's hasn't been 45 days. No advice in timers. My boyfriend (who was sharing the estate) didn't receive any mails. Now, I know the support can't do anything for that, what lost is lost. But it sucks. Instead of demolish the house to who is not online from 45 days, people who is logged every and every day have to lose house. My first house, in which I had great memories. Well, good job square enix.

It is unfortunately a necessary evil with the way they implemented housing to have demo timers. Honestly I don't think the feeling of 'neighborhoods' was worth having limited wards of housing plots. Speaking as someone who DOES have a house. But so long as there are relatively few plots per people that want into housing, they need a system that vacates plots not being used and 45 days IMO is plenty.

Have you checked your spamfilter? Have you been playing all this time or been unsubbed 45+ days? If you have been actively playing and not used it in 45+ days - do you really need the house?

Were you entering the house itself or just the yard space? The yard space does not reset the timer. Some people have reported having issues even when stepping into the house and actually have to interact with something such as a repair npc for the timer to reset. You can at least recover the furnishings and 80% of the gil spent to purchase the plots from the Resident Caretaker npc, however you only have 35 days upon the house being demolished to collect from the npc before the npc tosses it all.

There are few plots cause a lot of people own an entire ward. And I know it was long time ago when there wasn't the restriction of one private and one fc for account. That's why it isn't fair. They should just demolish their houses and be equal. In this case a good portion of players can have a house and they should remove the 45 days, or at least as I said, demolish houses of people without sub for 45 days. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe not but I'm sure they can do better than this.

Playing constantly, have time only to raid at evening, and it's not the fact of need a house. I spent a lot of time for decorating and glitching furnitures, and I had in there a lot of good moments. So it's strictly for the affection.

Have done ty. But they can't do much as I saw in a lot of thread. Once the house has a new owner it's done, not matter if is an ingame error. Came here for explain my situation and maybe they can think about something better than this method for housing.

Well, refund exist. And why do you need an entire ward?!

Even if they decided not to grandfather in the people who already owned multiple houses, demolishing those plots wouldn't solve the housing shortage in ffxiv. Only a new system of housing independant of always online wards may be able to do that. Or at least, making upgradable apartments that also have access to stuff like gardening and airships etc.
