Yes, the XP you get for crafting an item is based on how much you increase the quality, so if getting XP is your main goal you are better off with NQ materials. With HQ materials you start with some quality, so then you can't increase it as much.Unfortunately I still need some HQ mats for things. Some recipes have been tough for me without them. So mass turning is a no go. However, if I put all 50 mats for a house roof in my inventory, and then only turn those, that could be shorter. And althoough HQ doesn't matter for housing, don't you still get scaling exp gains for increased quality, even if it can't be HQ?
