DX11 error - Game no longer loads

Hi! Since the 5.5 update whenever I start the game (both in dx11 and dx9), the dx error shows up immediately.

I followed the steps highlighted from the other threads, but I still get the same problem.

1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
3) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
4) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
5) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
6) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything


I even tried reinstalling windows 10 as well as downloading and reinstalling FFXIV.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs and Xbox Game Bar.
2) Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card
3) Install Windows and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive (Preferably the C:/ drive if possible.)

Happened after downloading the 5.5 update.

1) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs and Xbox Game Bar.

It is disabled, even before I reformatted the PC and reinstalled Windows 10. It is disabled now.

2) Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card

I am now on the latest graphics driver.

3) Install Windows and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive (Preferably the C:/ drive if possible.)

I may not have enough disk space on C as I am only using 1 120GB SSD.

Nevermind, I just solved the problem by borrowing a working copy of the installed game and overwriting it on the installed path.
