Request: Longer hairstyles & More male hairstyles

We've gotten alot of anime cuts- cute cuts- short length cuts
Many of us welcome new additions to hairstyles yet, not to look a gift horse in the mouth.. many of the released hairstyles are boring & look really similar to one another- so it's abit obvious on what to expect when it comes to the next hairstyle- it'll be some anime protagonist style cut or a short, feathered cut

Variety is something many players have come together to request
Just because a style is unisex, doesn't mean it'll look good on both male & female

In some way, I'd like more longer length hairstyles or the illusion of such- like Hilda's Ponytail

Other requested styles are More male oriented hairstyles- many of the existing ones lack creativity & suffer the same issue with female hairstyles or unisex ones- they're boring & often aren't pleasing to the eye

Well, we have plenty of short hairs already for people who don't like it

I'd still be in favour of long hairstyles as opposed to the same types we've always gotten

If hair followed natural physics, long hair would be ok. It only takes a couple of hooded chest pieces to realize that massive clipping detracts greatly from having longer locks.

Long hair does look pretty good on catboys with bare chests, though ...

Eh, if it clips it clips. We have a ton of clipping issues as it is. With weapons, with hair that isn't short and pin straight, etc. Long skirts clip through mounts and furniture and in some cases the player’s body (princess dress comes to mind but it’s not the only one). Au Ra horns clip through everything. If that’s the only thing stopping them, I encourage the design team to let it go.

I don’t even like long hair but I still think it’s weird that they seem to go out of their way to avoid it.

Yes love longer hairstyles on males, now as long as they can start giving them to hrothgar as well >.>

Watch any cut scene with a long-haired NPC like Estinien, Ysayle, Myste, Yotsuyu, Gaia, Ryne, or pretty much anyone else with long hair, and see how much they really care about clipping. The only one who seems to get away with it is Zenos, because the longer part of his hair seems to be part of his torso model instead of his head.

There are many more but it'd be a long list

Add Barret's hairstyle to that list, and make it gender-unlocked.

One thing, though... At least when it comes to Shadowbringer released styles, they sort of almost even out the male x female ratio.

- 4 masculine looking styles
- 5 feminine looking styles (counting with this ponytail style that people datamined in this patch)
- The Twins' hairstyle (but honestly I'd say it leans more to the masculine side)

I'd say they are keeping the ratio consistent, however, I'd love to see more styles like the list you posted, because we have a LOT of redundant styles (spiky anime boy hair, generic bob cut, etc).
