    Hello everyone,

    Same issues as everyone here; lag start to appear around 7:00pm and last until 12:00pm.
    I'm in France and my ISP is Orange.
    Here is a tracert i did and you can clearly see the node that is saturated.

    Is there any mod/CM activity on this forum to at least notice the issue and start a ticket ?
    I understand the issue is clearly not on the Square Enix since using a VPN solve easily the issue BUT it's not on my ISP as well, since i got no issue on any other games (so i can't contact them since there is no PB on my end).
    It's in between, and for that i hope SQUARE ENIX can help us out resolve this issue.

    the other day i contacted my ISP to ask them to redirect my conection for another path and get way better just like my normal day conection but when i logged in next day was the same problem again, idk what it's going on on chaos datacenter but the problem is really annoying.

    the step 12 is like crazy, the 195.82.50.234 ip ms are just not normal, i can't stay every day calling my ISP for this problem and i haved days where the VPN didn't work well either so is like a never end problem.

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    We apologize for the delay in our response, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    -Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

    -Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

    Thank you for the answer but as SoraWsh said, this does not resolve the issue for me unfortunatly

    The problem is still active as i wrote those line and i had to activate my VPN to solve the issue.
    I understand the issue can be hard to resolve since it's not in SQUARE ENIX end but it's not on my end either; it's "in between" and there is clearly a saturation somewhere from some ISP who use that specific routing.

    I contacted with my ISP again to try to solve it again, we focus on open the ports properly and i checked what Rhaevis say about internet explorer and still nothing, tonight i survided barely with a VPN but even Proton VPN have days that it's even worse being with it unless i pay for it and seriously considering i never haved problems outside of pretty small problem of a node close to me bcs technical isues but this has been 3 weeks now and im getting really tired of restarting my router and calling my ISP to be told that my service work properly and being redirect by them to the servers constantly.

    so yeah is not a problem of my ISP and is not of the server but something in betwen that make me pray to get a proper normal service very night.

    @Rhaervis : It's a problem between Orange ISP and Square Enix. All the players complaining here have the same ISP : Orange. Dozens of posts about it since a month.

    Not just Orange in France. People in spain/germany/UK are reporting the SAME issues.
    It's just the same routing used by ISP between country and also point that the issue is NOT your ISP. No real point calling them tbh.

    My ISP is Jazztel from Spain but i think Jazztel use Orange nodes on France so yeah is something on France nodes that is causing Big saturation and the only way to solve It is logging off and in until you get a good route or have pay a VPN bcs free ones some days are good and others are just even worse.

    The issue is not because of ISP entirely as more than 1 ISP are currently affected, i'm not under orange and my nodes are slightly different but i'm still affected by the issue even with a VPN, the vpn lessen the issue but it still remain unplayable for Savage/Ult.
    The problem is located directly on the server farm itself at the data center, that is routing a lot of people through the same tunnel, so to speak and France seems to be the high point of the congestion as it seems to be affecting people in France mostly and those that their isp use node going through it. A friend in Spain isn't affect, same for the rest of the static and i'm the only one having those issue, which started the weekend after 5.5, never had a single issue prior to it.

    It's highly visible when you can just do a simple tracert and, for light DC, 195.82.50.234 just start imploding on daily reset till midnight then it calm down and return to normal ms and no packet loss.
    Even with a VPN the tracert doesn't change because it's that node that is being set on fire and just turning to mush on a daily routine.
