I think they were trying to make a claim for newer TV's having VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), which does work to make FPS drops less noticeable. Problem is, PS5 doesn't yet support VRR, so it's not a factor here.i play on a Samsung Series 8 4K HDR TV. it’s a TV from 2017. This issue is definitely not linked to any specific TV. at most what you would get with an older TV is screen tearing due to a lower refresh rate. What’s happening with the PS5 version of FFXIV is straight up a performance issue.
