    Frequent Disconnects 90002

For just over a week now I've been experiencing frequent, sudden 90001* errors while playing the game. I don't experience any packet loss or lag before the disconnect, nor does any other service on my computer lag at this time (streams still load fine, Discord does not disconnect, etc).

I've noticed the disconnects happen around 45-90 minutes after I log in and I lose access to all party chat, tells, linkshells, and FC chat for around 5-10 minutes before they happen. When I try to send messages in these channels, the text shows up in my chat box but others can not see it and I can not see other players' messages.

I've tried updating my LAN driver, changing my adapter, changing DNS, and resetting my router/modem with no success. This has made it incredibly difficult to play as I often drop my connection during dungeons and raids, leading to wipes.

    Greetings adventurer,

I'm sorry to hear about these constant 90002 errors that you have been experiencing. Have you tried switching between a wired connection and wireless connection to see if you notice a difference in either? Additionally, I would also recommend trying the following connection troubleshooting as it might help with this:

    1. Please try disabling/closing any background applications, including anti-virus programs, to minimize the chances of another program interfering with the game.

    2. In the Control Panel, please go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
Once done, please RESTART your PC after.

    3. Right-click the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher icon, and select the option to "Run as Administrator".

I hope this helps! Thank you for posting in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums.
