New hairstyle & Rynes outfit incoming

As for the outfit, I'm not interested in that either. The last male NPC outfit I really liked has to be Thancred's HW outfit. It came with a cool hairstyle and the outfit itself looked decent. I was eager to get my hands on Hien's outfit, but not only did it lack his hairstyle the textures are incredibly low res to the point of it being jarring. (Strange that the female outfits seem to be crafted with more care, eh?)

I wish they'd just create a long, feminine hairstyle and a short, masculine hairstyle each patch and make them available to both genders. That'd appease a great number of people, I believe.

9S's hair (at least for me) borders on long for men. And let's not forget that this is the first time they've actually done this since, I want to say Heavesnward?

And as a minor gripe, they should have made them untradable and unique... going to be annoying seeing people wearing the hairstyle rolling on them to sell on the marketboards, and will be a repeat of those people rolling on multiple 2B coffers so they could have them all dyed different colors in their glamor dressers....

Technically, yeah - but the 9S hairstyle is very similar to the hairstyle used by the Warrior of Darkness in promotional footage for Shadowbringers. The main difference is at the back rather than the front.

Agreed. I don't really want to open Pandora's box and know technically hair has no gender, but "we're making a cute hairstyle for all you lovely female characters!...oh and males can use it too I guess" is hardly unisex imo.

But hey, if you measure with the latest styles added with ShB, the number is almost even out, if I go very superficially interpreting what is feminine x masculine regarding the cut.
-4 masculine styles
-5 feminine styles (counting with the one in the video if not it's even)
-The twin's hairstyle, which I'm putting separate but it reads more boy than girl

Overall, I'd say they've been even in regading catering to one side or the other, and the added bonus of every style ever since ShB not being genderlocked.

My issue tho, is that a lof of these hairstyles are just too similar. They follow somewhat of a formula, and sans for a few examples, go out for different shapes and styles.

This is pretty much why I won't make a male character in this game. If they keep releasing feminine styles or outfits for everything, I'll just play females. There aren't even any short, masculine styles that I can really think. Actually, I don't think there is even a proper buzzed cut, and stubble is the hardest thing for them to add to the game, apparently. Also, the male faces generally suck, but that's besides the point.

It's not even like the population of players playing male characters is low either!

Yep! It's all medium length, unisex styles. They either do unisex styles, or obviously female styles. They don't make any actual short hair, the kind that would look good on males, or at least more good western styles.
