How to show location where I am on the screen always?

I do not mean "look at the minimap" or clicking to show the main map or some other such thing. I played a different game til starting this recently, and I was always able to just glance at the screen to see what location I'm at. All I see here above the map is the World I'm on.

Is there any way to do this without having to open the big map like every....single.....time I want to know where I am? There's a lot of running around and teleporting and stuff and that would be just too convenient to actually show the current location on the screen?

I mean, what you're asking is exactly that- look at the minimap.

You can zoom in/out the compass thing that's always up. You can also resize the actual minimap's box to take up less screen space and/or change the minimap's transparency so it is "invisible" when you move.

If that's not it, you also have coordinates under the compass.

...or are you asking for like.. a subtitle? Like it to say "South Shroud - Quarrymill" on the hud to show current region? This option does not exist, but you could macro <pos> to show your current coordinates and zone; eg "South Shroud (20.1, 21.3)"

if you mean, the name of the zone you are currently in...
not sure if there is a setting for that to always be displayed on screen...

however, you can type <pos> in chat window at any time and it will return your current coordinates including the zone name

For the suggestion to type in <pos>, what you want to be typing in full is /e <pos> with "e" being the "echo" channel that just sends it back to yourself instead of to your party or whatever chat group you're currently in.

Yes that's exactly what I meant. Like a glance at the screen to actually see it in what you call a "subtitle" text right there where it makes sense. More like looking and just seeing where you are. I think it's simply stupid to not have that. Thanks for the suggestions, but typing a command into chat is harder than clicking the map.
