It would also appear that Male AuRa gain their full height before Elezens by some years.

First bit of actually thought-provoking Nier raid lore this week, IMO.
It's mentioned that the orbs came from a world with "machines named after gods" though I'm not really versed enough on Replicant/Automata to know what that's referencing.
Something else I'm wondering about is whether or not we'll finally learn what happened to Zantetsuken, seeing as...
*safety spoiler from 5.5 trailer*
Lunar Odin is one of the primals we'll be dealing with in the gauntlet that serves as the finale of Shadowbringers. We're well-aware he's not a conventional primal as he seems exist strictly through his weapon and has no followers, so perhaps simply having the thing shoved into a tower would be sufficient to produce knock-offs of him.

That's the closest thing that comes to mind.
Considering 'the land of the gods' referenced in Drakengard turned to be modern-ish day Tokyo and Automata begins with 2B wondering if they'd ever get to kill the god that put them in this cycle and then the game ends with fighting the end credits, there could be a connection here with gods not being literal.

With this weeks Collection lore from the NieR raid, it's definitely making me think...
Though it's making me think of NieR Replicant. Her Inflorescence also reminds me of a certain Tree in Replicant that is well known for collecting memories... there's A LOT more to this Tree, but I don't want to spoil that for those playing through Replicant for the first time.
There is a novella which you can read on the NieR wiki, but... well, just get Ending D in Replicant and then play through the game again under a different name.

Just some more NieR Dark Apocalypse stuff I noticed that also applies to Puppet's Bunker (so it may have been mentioned back in 5.3 lore thread).
The angelic script is exactly the same as the Black Scrawl text in NieR Replicant... and 2010 NieR, though the angelic script used for T was what looked like a T and not a U. From the wiki:
The four Angelic Script characters that compose the Black Scrawl are Aleph, Cheth, Gimel and Thes, or A, C, G, and T. These characters likely represent the DNA nucleobases of Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine, and Thymine, indicating that the Black Scrawl represents the breakdown of a Replicant's DNA.Honestly beginning to think Red Girl is/was Sleeping Beauty from NieR Replicant/Gestalt at this point.
Regarding Nier:
I still find it hilarious that Earth is now technically part of FFXIV's canon. Or at least the version of Earth that serves as the backdrop for the adventures of the real 2B and 9S.
I picked up Nier Replicant in no small part due to the raid itself. I'm enjoying it a lot so far, even more than Nier Automata. Lots of wonderful nuance, morally grey characters and brilliant music.
Reminds me of PSO2.Regarding Nier:

Earth was added to that game, but was basically thrown in a pretty bad way (the Episode itself is disliked by the majority of the playerbase). This way could be considered...better, I guess?
Also, I'm going to apologize in advance for your tears. By the time you're done with Replicant, you'll understand why so many of us cried while hearing the music at the end of the 3rd Nier raid, and probably never be able to hear it the same way again.
PSO2 doesn't surprise me much.I know the Online games aren't the same continuity as the old turn based games but Earthlings turned out to be bad guys in the end of PS2 and one of the PS3 endings ended with your ship arriving at Earth.
The only problem with it was mostly...spoilers below for Episode 4 of PSO2.
It was an isekai. PSO2 was a game on Earth in an alternate dimension and you basically some how end up there, with the entire plot dealing with it. First few chapters of it were pretty bad, feeling like a slice of life before it actually got to the meat of things. Hell, you took a back seat a lot during Episode 4's plot while other characters were the main importance, which was completely different from Episode 1-3 where you took an active part in it. Luckily Episodes 5 and 6 rectified this.
But onto more important Nier raid quest things,
I'm suspecting that Glagg is in fact himself a machine being. Besides explaining the bizarre actions as a form of malfunctioning, it gives us somebody who can give actual exposition onto what the hell is going on and how Nier fits into FFXIV.

I finally did week 3 of YorHa andI skipped all discussion relating other games like Drakengard because they have nothing to do with FFXIV and I have absolutely no interest in them. The thought that I need to play 10 other games to understand what is going on in an alliance raid is unacceptable to me.as usual it makes no sense.
