I still remember going left at the fork after the fort and fighting a few wolves, and then found some bandits and thought "oh, nice, some good xp" and getting completely stomped by them.
Same here. That early game difficulty spike along with that forest side quest...but it gives such nice rewards should you succeed.
I do one of two things.
1. Run straight for Blue Moon Tower and with a set of...5 or 6 Skelton Keys i hit up the cave near Blue Moon for late base game gear st the very start.
2. Head straight to Bitterblack Isle as soon as I get my pawn and loot the numerous chests and Rift Crystal farming spots before I even pass the first Void Gate.
Either way I'm unstoppable by level 15.
Went swimming in Horizon Forbidden West. Thought I found a crack just wide enough to get through. Seems like a standard place to hide some random loot, right?
Swam through the bottom of the map, passed under the water zone, dropped into the void and died.
Whoops?
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
I abuse the barrel exploit and completely clean out Duskmoon Tower of the items without the Moonbeam Gems. Getting good gear that early makes the rest of the game trivial. Can even enter Hard Mode at that point to REALLY get the danger going...and double Ring of Perseverance makes getting Discipline an absolute joke.I do one of two things.

That and AFK Discipline farming on guards during that one point. Good way to get a lot of Discipline without raising level too high.I abuse the barrel exploit and completely clean out Duskmoon Tower of the items without the Moonbeam Gems. Man DD is so easy to break. One of the bows from Duskmoon Tower on you along with the Trophy Jacket, have a mage/sorcerer pawn with the Adept's Robe, and basically laugh your way the rest of the game. "Oh no I'm hurt...good thing I have infinite regen via my pawn going here."
