Elden Ring is actually their vision for DS2 perfected. They originally wanted a heavier usage of lighting, a sprawling open world, etc etc for DS2, but technology wasn't good enough back then.I still think Elden Ring has the worst design in FromSoft's catalogue, and I'm someone who has no problem using broken or "unfair" tactics in order to win.
I like being able to fight bosses in many different ways without feeling completely overwhelmed, and so far, Elden Ring is their only game that's failed at that for me. Everything else about the game is wonderful and a huge step forward, especially their level design, which is finally back to being as good as Dark Souls 1's. But their boss design? Trash. Only DS2's was worse.
Elden Ring as a fantasy world and a gaming experience is top notch, but the balance in the last 1/3 of the game is pretty bad.
Got off the phone with my internet provider AGAIN. I am so sick and tired of this. Like, oh my God.. Luckily I hadn't started doing PvP again yet, otherwise I'd have dced from that most definitely. A tech is scheduled to come out on Monday. Guaranteed nothing is going to come out of this next visit. I wonder what they will try and replace this time.
Lost connection again as I am writing this. You can't make this up.
This is a copy and paste. I typed this out about 10 minutes ago.

If your provider is anything like mine, just threaten to cancel your service and they usually come running, though begrudgingly. They don't listen to anything less, sadly. Still, it gets them where they need to go quicker.Got off the phone with my internet provider AGAIN. I am so sick and tired of this. Like, oh my God.. Yeah, I've done that, but there aren't really any other providers out here. They used to overcharge though. They actually hang up on me sometimes when I call them, had a service rep literally say as soon as he picked up he was hanging up one time. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's Windstream (Kinetic) by the way.If your provider is anything like mine, just threaten to cancel your service and they usually come running, though begrudgingly. Oh wow. It's disconnected again as I am typing this. I guess I just can't use the internet tonight.

The unfortunate thing is when ISPs hold a monopoly or "essentially" a monopoly, you can't threaten to leaveIf your provider is anything like mine, just threaten to cancel your service and they usually come running, though begrudgingly. I've got Spectrum, which is already absolute crap, but they rarely fix anything here because their only "competition" is a small ISP with the highest speed being 10 Mbps Dial-up.
Yeah, I understand that. Mine is in a similar spot. It's one of the bigger providers around where I live, so the competition isn't exactly fierce, or it's nonexistent. I really don't know. I just know that they've got quite a reach. Either way, they take potentially losing money seriously enough that they tend to expedite the process if I'm persistent enough. I hate going full or even half Karen on them, but like I said...they aren't known for their timely fixes. I've gotta do what's required to get the most enjoyment out of the service I'm paying them for.The unfortunate thing is when ISPs hold a monopoly or "essentially" a monopoly, you can't threaten to leaveI've got Spectrum, which is already absolute crap, but they rarely fix anything here because their only "competition" is a small ISP with the highest speed being 10 Mbps Dial-up.
I have tomes to grind and raids to clear! And other things, obviously, that don't involve FF XIV at all. I will give them some credit where it's due though. My service doesn't have issues regularly. It's just a matter of motivating them enough to actually fix the problem. And if you need a router replacement for whatever reason, all you have to do is take it to their HQ and they will exchange it for a new one. No questions asked. That is pretty convenient. Only had to do that with them twice so far in the last...5-6 years I think? But it was a painless process every time.
Yeah, I hope so. They have visited my house about.. I don't know 6 or 7 times in the past 3 months. This sucks. It has got me afraid to do things in this game, like SE will see a "pattern" that I am disconnecting out of group content or something, and hit me with a strike since I got that "grief tactics" warning already. I think about it quite a lot.

I am happy I don't live somewhere with stuff like huge tornados and earthquakes.
That shit is scary as hell.
