I mean this genuinely: I love it when two people are chatting in the forums and they both have similar icon themes.
Like maybe a character wearing a chocobo costume head responds to a character wearing a rabbit costume head or two dark knight helmeted characters respond to each other

Dear stranger participating in the same lottery for a house: why, when there was exactly the same spot in another sector, with 0 participants (advantage offered by the end of the extension) did you see fit to put yourself on the same lottery as mine?

Just... Why did you do it? If there are only two of us taking part at the moment, wouldn't it have been more logical to bet on the other spot, so that we'd both come out winners?

aand just because I'm learning to play on PS5, I just found out that you can set a cinematic camera for afk timers and it will show these cool scenes of the npcs in the area!

Kinda XIV related, but this didn't deserve its own thread...

I've now played XIV with 6 different controllers throughout a whole decade.

DualShock 3 - Started on PS3 so this is all I had. D-Pad was mushy and awful. Buttons were fine. Triggers were also really bad and if you rested the controller on your lap they could accidentally press.
DualShock 4 - Upgraded to PS4. Overall improvement, good controller overall.
XBONE - My second favorite. Used it ever since I upgraded to PC for like... four years?
Series Controller - The controllers were ok, but I had two of these die in less than a year, and I refuse to buy an XBOX controller ever again.
Switch Pro - Surprisingly comfortable, particularly because the triggers are digital button, so the press is immediate and doesn't waste your time with analogue triggers... but the D-Pad on this thing is horrendous for menuing.
DualSense - Best gaming controller I've ever used. The haptics are a bit overrated though. They're no different from Joycon HD Rumble (Though they do work on PC). Everything else on this thing is amazing imho.

Speaking of controllers... I think my beloved Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2 (very inspiring name) might be giving up the ghost. At random times it will become unresponsive for a few seconds, it might lose connection to the wireless receiver, or it might register a bunch of button presses when I haven't done anything. These issues are rare, but the fact that they're happening at all is concerning.

I love this controller. I've had it since 2007 or 2008. It's comfortable, has a nice hefty feel, and has the old style digital L2/R2 triggers instead of those analog ones with the long, heavy pull. A few years ago the D-pad was acting up, so instead of spending something like $50 on new wireless gamepad, I spent $14 for a corded F310 and robbed the silicone membranes from under the D-pad and face buttons. Good as new!

I played with a standard PS3 controller until I got a PS4. Then it was a standard PS4 controller up into current day, because it works on PC that I moved to in late SHB.

I didn't get used to holding a PS5 controller until my second playthrough of Elden Ring.

As far as Xbox controllers go, I miss The Duke. Everything after that feels more or less the same Xbox wise.

I sometimes miss the simplicity of the NES/SNES controllers from back in the day though. Before controllers took on these unnecessary angles and grip structures that really just cause them to fall off of your desk and such.

So uh, hi, I was MilkieTea/C'erise haha...

Some dude from my past managed to steal my account because he was upset that I (unknowingly) kicked his sleeper alt from my FC for inactivity. Now he's holding it hostage because he wants to "talk to [me] like we used to."
Anyways... It was time for a fresh start anyways I guess, so... whatever.
