Hewwo! I pop in to once again talk about my crafts!

in class I had cast in bronze! I would have more bronze bells but when I was pouring I hesitated and the metal cooled. The bronze bells are made of a bronze called bell metal (20% tin, 80% copper). Centrifugal had to be the way. I melted the bigger bell (middle right) and had to fix it because there would be no more casting after that QwQ
I wish I could cast more... I would like to experiment with silver in the alloys and maybe try making pewter.
You may not notice by the way I took the pic but I patched the hole with brass.
The two bigger bells are both brass. I attached brass handles to all of them. Unfortunately, I melted a brass bell so the bigger one has a single throat instead of two (I did not feel like repairing it). For now, I cannot make any more bells- I'm on break.

I look forward to when I can work on raising these bells further. For now I'll need to settle for the unfinished shape.

I also cast some charms!

I made the shapes out of wax and cast it with ancient bronze (10% tin, 90% copper)

Here is a lineup of all the bells I had made excluding the bronze bells (left oldest, right newest)

there are three other missing bells- my first ever bell (big, ugly, and made of copper. You might or might not remember it) and two cone-shaped brass bells I have since gave to family for crimmus. I played around with copper for bells but alas, the metal is too soft so its sounds aren't the nice. The big box bell and those two half-sphere shaped bells are copper. The smaller copper bells are super quiet but do ring clear.

Extra note: bell metal sounds so so good. I wish with work with it more in the future
