You know I thought 2018 was the worst year of my life... thank you soo much 2023 for topping that year. That year only my mother died... this year... my dog died 5 days before the anniversary of my mother's death... then in august my brother was killed in a car accident due to Hurricane Idalia... and yesterday I got a text from my bank asking me if I was in a Kissimee Wawas ATM withdrawing 200 dollars from my bank account at 6 am when my father had left for work at 5:30 in the morning (he uses my car) and works about 7 miles from my house, so basically someone stole my debit card information/pin number electronically and stole my money... a big hearty go F yourself 2023.

Yeah. I received a 24-hour ban for this exact post below, which was in a thread made by a different person about how the PC in WoW is now special and the savior of the universe or something, which prompted some posts about FFXIV. To which I replied with this:

"But at least in that game it makes sense. From the get-go it’s pretty obvious the PC is something different. Then there was years of build up and hints before the big reveal of who the player actually was.

For example, from Stormblood, while doing the MSQ in the Azim Steppe, an NPC describes you as:

“A singular radiance. Shimmering. Like a jewel of the Dusk Mother, blinding in its brilliance. Stars flicker and flock to you. Before such gathered light, even the secrets of the gods may be laid bare. Some are fated to rise in grace and glory. Others to falter and fade, though not from memory. Both will be your strength and salvation come the end. Cherish the stars and the light they bring you in the dark. For you are a traveler, are you not?”

Two years later, during Shadowbringers, the player invokes an old spell where we hear the voice of a once close friend-turned-enemy.

“Herein I commit the chronicle of the traveler. Shepherd to the stars in the dark. Though the world be sundered and our souls set adrift, where you walk, my dearest friend, fate shall surely follow. For yours is the Fourteenth seat—the seat of Azem.”

I mean, f**king amazing writing is amazing."

And I got banned for that. Not even excluding anything. I even filtered out the curse word so I wouldn't violate their code of conduct. That is the exact post and message I got from their moderation team. They said it was inappropriate.

So, I'm just gonna stick to my main game (this one) from now on.

Man, that is just downright mean-spirited on the part of the moderation team. Pretending other games don't exist or punishing individuals who discuss them will bite Blizzard in the a*s in the end.
