The Legend of Dragoon finally being available on the PS5 makes me cautiously optimistic that we'll see some other classic PS1 and PS2 JRPG's added as well. I'd especially like to see Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics, Breath of Fire IV and Shadow Hearts to name but a handful.

All solid hits. I'll throw Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia, Legend of Legaia, Threads of Fate, and Star Ocean 2nd Story into the mix as well.

Japan got the psp remaster of Star Ocean 2 on ps4/ps5 I'm waiting for us now because it's the best title and at this point they're just withholding it for no reason. You gave us the First Departure version of Star Ocean 1, give us Second Evolution, SE.

...I'd also take the old Tales of titles, Eternia is my fave old Tales title, but I'd also like the ps3 titles available (Graces f, Xillia and Xillia 2) so I don't have to keep my ps3 hooked up to play 'em.

Dragon Quarter wasn't a bad game, it just wasn't a good Breath of Fire game.

Pretty much. Like how FF9 wasn't a bad game, but it was a bad Final Fantasy game (yes, this is a hill I will die on).

At this point I'd settle for a rerelease of Symphonia that isn't buggy, missing dialogue, and overall performing worse than the Gamecube release.

One of the best casts in the franchise, and also the hardest game in the franchise. I'm hoping that if it's full on remade, that they make both Claire and Waltu playable characters. Also, wish we had a proper spoiler tag, but I'll say it below.

By Claire I mean Agarte. Become a mage my dear.

One thing I loved about old JRPGS...finding ways to BREAK them very early. Take Star Ocean. Find the Sharp Edge after the Tournament in Lacour. Not a bad weapon...222 Attack. Now smith it with a mithril. You get Minus Sword of 599 Attack. Now smith it AGAIN with another mithril and get Eternal Sphere...That has 1600 Attack, attacks twice per swing, and flings stars with each attack that each do tons of damage per star. You are busted strong now.

A classic strategy. Doesn't matter if Claude or Rena is the main character, Claude best swordsman for that reason. Now if only they had properly adjusted who gets who...I have no clue why Dias is Rena exclusive when Claude can only get Ashton as a Sword user. Meanwhile Rena getting both Claude and Ashton, AND Dias on top of that. She did not need that many sword people...especially when her as MC is already mandatory for Ashton's best ending.
