No, Islander Mentality. I literally grew up on an island. I would walk everywhere.Haha. I wouldn't call it "Islanders Mentality". I'd call it your personal preference.
I used to drive 45 minutes one way for Thai food. I did that quite often for 5 years. I live within 5 minutes of the place (have for quite some time) and I haven't gone there in two years.
SturmChurro, that makes complete sense. The worst is when your on the fence about something, you leave, come back, and its gone. (Sorry. I am on phone and I don't know how to quote multiples in the same post)
Woohoo! (Its been ages since I've been to Massachusetts; when I lived on the island though; we would drive over the Mt Hope for shopping; that bridge toll on the Pell was expensive in the 90s.)Oh cool, another Rhode Islander.
I tend to stay close to home too, although mostly out of laziness. I'm willing to drive farther when I have a good reason (on Sunday I'm gonna be making a two hour drive out to MA for a raffle at a Gundam store; shows you my priorities, eh?), but I just don't really like driving. Or, more accurately, I don't like other drivers.
And definitely RI drivers; ugh
PSA: Wizards of the Coast is planning to deauthorize Dungeons and Dragons' Open Game License in favor of a much more restrictive one that is all but overtly predatory. It will allow them to collect royalties on third party content, shut down any third party product they disapprove of, and use third party content without compensating or accrediting third party content creators (including noncommercial works).
All of which will effectively destroy what allowed the game to become as popular as it has.

But... most of their fans play with third party tools, and online playing has since become a big reason for their popularity.PSA: Wizards of the Coast is planning to deauthorize Dungeons and Dragons' Open Game License in favor of a much more restrictive one that is all but overtly predatory. Still. Wouldn't be the first time Wizards would Forsaken their IP for something stupid, wouldn't it?

Sometimes it seems like a company is trying to self-destruct. This is one such time and one such company. I don't even play D&D, and I'm not even all that familiar with the company, and even I know this isn't going to end well.PSA: Wizards of the Coast is planning to deauthorize Dungeons and Dragons' Open Game License in favor of a much more restrictive one that is all but overtly predatory. Combined with the increasingly predatory tactics they're pushing with Magic: the Gathering, it's really not looking great for Wizards lately.
Happy Friday the 13th everyone. I might have to make a trip to Crystal Lake today.![]()

With both a husband and father whose birthdays fall on the 13th of the month (today for my father and August for my husband); that sort of makes it more interesting.
