So I just finished about 2 hours of Sims 4 since last time I logged in my dude had the knack to piss off every single woman he talked to. Any way it started off great cause my guy friends would call me and ask if they should go for it on some woman or if so and so asked them out should they say yes. I'd tell them to go for it and then they would call back saying it went well! Apparently I'm good at setting people up. Eventually I took notice of a sim that caught my interest and I was like "You. You'll be the one I try to get my Sim to date".

She doesn't hate him every time he talks to her....so good start. I invite her over for dinner and I start to cook. I have level 6 cooking at that time so I was feeling confidant. I set myself on fire along with the stove. She runs out of the house and fire department saves my Sims life. OK time to get a better stove. I go three stoves up and get that one. I get promoted at my new job (I quit my last one cause he kept coming home and then crying in bed from work ) and work my way to buy the new stove. I invite the sim over once again to try to get my Sim a GF. I cook...and light myself on fire again. She runs out at the sight of me engulfed in flames yet again. Well hey Fire Department saves my life again.

Well insurance covered the stove so I replace it. I read books and level my cooking to 7. I make mac and cheese...I light myself on fire yet again for the 3rd time in 1 hour of playing. I save and log off.

On my next day off I'm going to work till I can afford the best damn stove ever.

This happens to everyone's sim but whenever I hear or see it happening I still laugh. Sims are basically adult children. Mine has the level 10 cooking and she still attempts to burn the house down all the time.

Think the most fun I had in TS4 was making a Super Sim with as many expansions as I had. She actually became a vampire/caster hybrid because of her mom magician and vampire dad which was cool, and I'd make her slave away cooped up in an arts center or bar maxing out her Music/Painting. 99% of leveling her Astronomy was reading level books, until the game forced me to level it with practical means. I'd made a start on maxing her expertise in each occupation until I got bored.
I'm sort of salty the game went F2P because I spent relatively a lot of money on it. I'm OFC not envious per se of the customers now, mostly just kicking myself for not expecting it I guess.

Just the base game is free...you still haver to buy ALL the DLC. That's something I refuse to do. Base game is enough for me.

Ya just the base game, although "back in my day" the base game was pretty barebones. How do you feel about it? I wonder how much they added baseline since then. Do you feel like you lack a lot?

I've not done a lot. So far all I've done is get a job, come home and immediately go to bed and cry, quit THAT job, set myself on fire a lot from cooking, Piss off a lot of women except one, then after failing to impress her twice with my Johnny Storm impression she calls me saying she has a crush on another guy and want to know if she should go for it so I say "Yeah sure go for it", and then go to the library a lot to write up reports for work since I'm too poor to buy a computer cause I keep replacing everything that gets destroyed in the fire since the insurance apparently doesn't cover everything.

Once I get my Sim to shape up and perhaps have a spot of good luck I can venture out and see what I can actually do.

Friend of mine is playing another game and we have absolutely no idea what's going on in the screenshot he posted.

Looks like the dude on the table is having a great time with that cake, just not in the typical sense.

Then it looks like he has a couple of voyeurs like, "Hey, douchebag, we were gonna eat that..." But they can't stop watching cause they're either attracted to cake fuckers or it's train wreck logic.

Back then when I still stream Sims 4 gameplay with my friends, I often make a joke how the only ability that Sims actively work on is the ability to die for no reason.

You give them electronics and amenities? They break and/or get electrocuted. You give them nice, comfy pools? They drown in it. You give them a house so beautiful that it makes them so happy? Wait until they get some 'Fun' moodlet to get instantly to 'Hysterical' moodlet then die in the next 3 minutes from laughter. Give them a lover? Wait until one of them caught cheating and then they die from cardiac explosion. Leave the game on autoplay? They will soon get hygiene issues that leads them to get embarrassed then die from it despite giving them 6+ toilets and bathrooms in the house.

The only time I could think of where my Sim made better decision overall was when I only had 1-2 Sims to control. It's like these Sims shares one singular brain, and the more Sims you have in a family, the dumber they get. Not that I'm complaining. Knowing this I often stream myself and my friend group in some sort of "Who will die the last?!"-challenge those nights, and it was a blast.

Sadly I don't play it--or rather, refuse to play it anymore I gave the last Sims family a dog to own, which the game promptly generate a dog that resembles uncannily to one of my most loved dog that had left me a couple years ago at that time, and it really shook me up. A couple of weeks after that I stopped playing entirely. I'm sorry my sims
