Wait, has Soken acknowledged that Sephirot's Fiend OST is veeeery similar to Powerman 5000's When Worlds Collide?!

I think I remember something about him being asked about that and his response was something like "I've never heard of them".

I don't think there is anyone who has heard "Fiend" and hasn't immediately thought of "When Worlds Collide".

That was me until yesterday, when a friend said Fiend is a direct"rip-off" of the song. To be fair to me I didn't know Powerman 5000 either.

Technically he said that it was normal for them to be similar, as he engraciated himself with the genre the team was going for to make the song. He said "When Worlds Collide" and Powerman 5000 were probably among the playlist, but that inspiration wasn't unique to one specific song. As in, it's natural that they sound similar because Soken drew inspiration from songs around that style, but he denied plagiarism and claimed he didn't even know of the band to begin with.
