No, no, I did get hired full time... after six years as a temp. The issue is that with the reshuffling of manpower, thanks to lacking much in the way of seniority (due to being a relatively new hire; only about 1 year) I'm on the short list to get shuffled away despite having worked there for a longer total time than a lot of the other permanent hires. There are also a significant number of brand new hires, but because they can't be shuffled around during their 90 day probationary period, having seniority over them counts for nothing. And we were only given a week's heads up about this plan, and only 3 days total to respond to it. There's no way they're going to get 24 people to sign up to go to the other factory (and very plausibly onto graveyard shift) so all my hard work's done naught to secure my position where I am (which I'm quite comfortable with).

Upsetting my dreary little life because "it's best for the business," after all that talk about how they're trying to improve communication.
