Is that Magic the Gathering Phyrexians?

Is that Magic the Gathering Phyrexians?
(Signature portrait by Amaipetisu)
"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
Yes. From what it appears though, he was a sleeper agent, and was absolutely distraught when he realized it. I don't think they'll kill him off, but they'll likely use it as fuel to bring him back for a character arc as he seeks atonement. They'll either keep his new look, or cure it. The new look, btw.
The story segment below.
"Ajani's good eye widened with horror. He shook his head in denial and mouthed no, no, no gripping his own arms as if he could restrain the Phyrexian fibers beneath his skin and prevent them from emerging. But they engorged, ripping open muscle and fur, to reveal a sleek, dense Phyrexian musculature that had been installed beneath his own.
Ajani had been compleated. He was the spy, the traitor. He'd betrayed them to Sheoldred."
