I think that's a rather strange take, given that you're a fairly frequent poster on the lore forum and have seen multiple lore enthusiasts have mixed reactions towards the expansion. Each to their own, I guess.
I meant the Official Forums in general, not this specific subforum.
Pray forgive my inaccuracy.

Fair enough. Either way, I think it's fair to suggest that Endwalker proved to be pretty divisive. Especially when compared to previous expansions. Not just in regards to the story elements either but the handling of content elsewhere.
I do think Ishikawa's hands were tied to some extent. Having to rewrite things at the last minute and having a planned expansion scrapped will inevitably have negatively impacted the overall story - especially with so many existing plot threads being abruptly closed off all at once.
I'd advise that. Modern meta-yugioh is very tiring and uninspired. I had way more fun messing around on LotD with my magician/destiny hero/fairy decks than I did on duel links/master duel. I feel like the current game is too meta orientated and fast paced. My meme magician deck did really well in duel links surprisingly, until subterror cards dropped and all of a sudden I was facing 3000 defence monsters on turn on with all kinds of effect protections. So then it's like ok, I either play with cards I don't want to, that I'll probably have to spend money to get, orrrr... I just play the old game and mess around on that. I'm glad I did, way more fun. Granted my deck was a bit dirty, it was a turn one Shutdown using mirage dragon and dark paladin to deny them the ability to react to anything I did haha.Speaking of things that make no sense, I tried out YGO: Master Duel after getting a card game itch. As someone who stopped playing when the Hero architype was released it was crazy seeing a deck that can summon 6+ monsters that can be used for fusion, the white fusion, the blue fusion, and finally the black fusion. I might duck out and just check out Legacy of the Duelist and save myself the FOMO and just make fun meme decks, lol.
I'm well aware that the period I played it as a kid and enjoyed (original, GX, tiny bit of 5ds), is kinda a different game to the stuff we have now with all the crazy Synchros/XYZ summons... I could sorta get my head around them but I felt the black/white cards looked weird. Then pendulum summons became a thing and I was like nope nope, not doing it lol. Gimme my Destiny End Dragoon.

Why are Gamecube games so expensive? I just bought one that is worth $600. I'm amazed he took $250 for it.

Just get a Wii or Wii U, they're probably cheaper and have a much wider library.
EDIT
Oh, the games? Out of print, get lost and destroyed over time. Nintendo isn't particularly fond of rereleasing its titles, and the fact all of its systems are gimmicky these days makes it difficult to do so. So you gotta pay top dollar for a copy that's still functional or go without.
Still got a copy of Luigi's Mansion I play once every October (until Sir Weston refuses to cooperate and I get fed up) and the Ocarina of Time bonus disc that came with Wind Waker. Unfortunately my copy of that's no good anymore.

I played Yugioh back when it first came out in the US. My Exodia deck was undefeated for years. Then the card shop I played at closed down, and I fell out of the game. Now I have absolutely no idea what's going on with it, and the plethora of different summoning styles, absurd power creep, and generally being a rich kid's game has put me off of trying it out again.I'd advise that. I know rarity is a huge factor when it comes to games ( sold an NES game called Color a Dinosaur for $120 and it's just rare even though it sucks ) but Gamecube games are hardly rare. I get a Wind Waker or a Melee or whatever in one of the stores at least once a week and yet those are like $70+. There are millions of copies of those.
I blame the Ebay sellers who selling it for like double that and people just....pay it.

Me: Oh I'll stay up all night to watch the PoE league reveal!
Also me at the eleventh hour: I'm freaking tired, sorry BF, I'll lie in bed and you tell me the updates I should worry about.
Also me during the actual live event from start to finish: deep asleep...
