    Anyone else feels like the new Amazon LOTR trailers have this odd fake feel to them?
    It's like everyone is told to pose for a magazine and every shot feels so overly produced and too clean.
    It kinda just feels like it's all meant to be pretty and that's about it

    I can at least appreciate practical effects, the Orcs do look far too clean imo but I do like that they're wearing actual costumes and makeup and aren't CGI.

    I feel the same way, but I have hope. I have so much hope for this one. The 2nd age has a lot of starting points for stuff down the line(third age stories that we have mostly seen)

    If it does well enough I'd love to see a series around Melkor or the War of Wrath from the first age.

    Most of the appearance of the orcs in the LotR movies were already makeup. Just vastly better makeup than this.

    I think that's true in the original trilogy yeah, I don't think it's true in the Hobbit movies tho.
    But yeah.
    I do think the Orcs look way too clean in the Amazon show based on what I've seen tho, I liked more how dirty and slimey they looked in the original trilogy.
    They looked very realistic while the Amazon ones kinda have this odd '' dude wearing a mask '' look.
