Hihi, Asmongold has some ... trouble with his FF14 audience because they do not like it how he plays the game.
Zepla has made a clip about it.

I just think it has less to do with the FFXIV community tbh and more to do with the context surrounding it.
There has been a growing frustration with him becoming a react streamer for a long time, and people waited almost a whole year and it was hyped up.
I think if he had done the same with Lost Ark for example people would've gotten mad too.
It's hard to judge these things too with Asmon because his fanbase usually doesn't even play the games he streams.
He has talked about this before too how almost no one in his fanbase even plays WoW but still engage in all of the drama and watch him play it ( at least based on polls he has done ).
In the end of the day his viewers are '' the Asmon community '' rather than a particular games community, even his own chat vehemently disagreed with him when he said it was somehow unique to FFXIV because it's something that has been growing for almost a year now.
The problem is, if he reacts to some videos then he has way more viewers as if he plays something. Reacting is that, what his audience wants to see. You can see it also on his zackrawrr-channel. This is his gaming channel and he reaches maybe 10k viewers. If he reacts to something then there are 50k viewers and more. I guess, the vocal parts of the FF14 community vastly overestimate their numbers.I just think it has less to do with the FFXIV community tbh and more to do with the context surrounding it.

Since he deleted the video I can't necessarily quote directly from it. why he deleted that clip, I've no idea, but it's not in my YT history anymore. But I'm pretty sure he only stated he overreacted and that he wasn't going to actually stop playing ff14. It *was* only a minute long.
