Pretty much, I think the ES and Fallout games have been complete garbage for a very very very long time.
I'd argue even Oblivion wasn't that great.
But modders kinda save the games.
I don't think Bethesda deserves the praise they get for that tho, I think they get credit that the modders deserve.
Because ultimately when most people think of these games I think that they think of them in a modded state.
I see this too a lot when people criticize the game people just bring up a mod that fixed the issue ( often times not the most stable tho ).
I mean sure, if a mod fixes a problem that's nice.
But I am not going to account for that when I judge the game itself and Bethesdas work, imma judge it how it is unmodded.
