I don't work at Wal-Mart but I had a guy I would say would fit in with it. He came in wearing a belly shirt, a backpack, boxer briefs, boots, and knee high socks. No one seemed to notice but me or they were at least pretending to not notice.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
I just worked nights so I *luckily* avoided a lot of interactions with people. Like I was saying, a lot of the people coming in at that time (where I worked) were college kids. It was kind of a skeleton crew working there at those hours. I'm sure if I worked during the day, I'd have a lot more stories. I haven't worked anywhere like that since. it's about 10 years ago now.
Apparently, the kids nowadays are getting paid way more than I did, and I was getting extra for working nights!![]()

I worked the night shift at a supermarket near an airport as my first job. I certainly had some interesting encounters. One woman came in wearing a big trench coat and asked me if I wanted to see her pigeon only to open it up and reveal that yes, actually, there was a pigeon cooing and nesting beneath it.
On another occasion during a particularly quiet shift Daniel Craig and his entourage came in to buy some wine and chocolate. They were all very polite.
