So I thought I was working today, got out of bed, got dressed, and came into work. I tried clocking in and it said 'Not scheduled. See your manager.'

I'm like '...what? Did I not punch in properly?' I tried again. Same thing. Went to log into the break room computer to check my schedule and see my schedule got changed for my days off. Originally my boss had me working almost 7 days in a row, and today would've been the full 7 days in a row.

Apparently he had to change it because one of the clerks had gotten fired. We found out she was an absolute manic without her meds and she refused to take her meds.

Mother of 6 that gives you the death stare and bitches about 'how she does everything' when everyone else does most of the work for her. She walked out on the shift last week, and had choice words for my manager when she came back for another shift before he said 'screw it, you're done.'

While I appreciate not having to work 7 days in a row, but bruh, you could've called me last night to know about the swap. I COULD HAVE SLEPT IN.

Working several times back to back is never fun. I recently got done with nine days back to back. Those last two days were the worst cause we had a lot of trade come in and I was itching to get the hell out of there. At least I only had my life threatened twice that period. I don't work in a nice neighborhood so I consider it a great week if I don't have to remind a customer that if they decide to get physical that I wouldn't have a problem putting them down where they stand. You really gotta sell it regardless if you think you can do it or not. I'm a decent actor.

I'm just irked that I didn't get a chance to sleep in on my days off this week. I prefer to sleep in, as my bed's actually super comfy and I do like sleep.

Though on another note I can hopefully close the book on the saga that is getting my new tooth. Finally got the crown installed today and it feels quite good. The first 40 minutes or so it had stretched my gums and some of my bone a bit to get it to fit, plus grinding it down so my bite was complete.

Interesting thing of note, they used the screw type for installation instead of the cement type. I asked about the screw type and they said it's all screwed in and has plumber's tape over the hole plus sealant in case the screw's teeth need to be adjusted later down the line or if the screws gets worn and needs replacing.

Yes, plumber's tape. On my fake tooth. Didn't think they'd get THAT fancy.
