yup, it's honestly why, while being annoyed by the hypocritical moderation, I'm also kind of glad that once this sub runs out again, I have no reason to post again
my first ban was for posting that au ra groomer twitter meme in response to someone saying that the L in LGBT stands for lalafell romance and that they want more of that in the game, while my response was "does the g stand for groomer" with the meme below
tons of homophobic or racist posts in that thread weren't deleted and they most definitely were reported
I started reporting posts of discussions I wasn't involved in, where one or two of the involved parties were insulting each other, their 'races' or other things and of course, nothing ever came out of that

the 2nd ban I got, I most definitely deserved as I was attacking one person quite rudely and accused them of things I couldn't prove, though the coincidences of only other people's posts in that discussion (about how not everyone has had great experiences in the community btw) being removed, while the ones that insulted and blamed the people for their own experiences with toxic people stayed up, where I and other people accused that person of using their FC to report the other side of the discussion. that was the correct decision, but the other two? lmao

can't wait to see v*lkall*r continue to spew nothing but thinly veiled hatred for anything WoW related and people talking about it whenever he resubs, or that weird midlander with the WoW name that's totally not a troll.
or that blue haired catboy (or bunny idk, haven't checked this place in a while) that's one of the most toxic people on the forums but gets away with it because he's new and came from wow and wow is bad uwu

I got my 2nd vacation for making an uncouth joke in that one thread that haunts the first page.

I'm actually planning to play a month of it in April, despite its current "expansion", if you can even call it that.
Yeah, I've heard about this "expansion". Apparently, very short. More like a big patch than an expansion, if they had labelled it differently, it probably would have been received better.

they hyped that up like crazy and then it was a bunch of nothing, it kinda makes the game seem abandoned it's not a good look.
It reminds me of how SE supposedly funnels profits out of this game, and puts them into other projects. From what I've heard, it sounds like EA/Bioware is doing the same thing.

Bit off topic I guess but this goes for other MMO's too.
The most frustrating part about Savage to me is how I have a lot more '' stamina '' than basically everyone else it feels like xD.
If I am free I can basically just go at it the entire day to get the kill in one day.

But basically what happens is you spend time putting a group together, prog some mechanics then people have to go you're lucky if it lasts an hour.
    Rinse and repeat.
I mean I can't force people to play obviously, but I just wish it was faster and you could gogogogo for as long as *you* want.
I look in PF and meh no practice groups just clear and putting together one fairly late takes a lot of time.

It's just one of the weaknesses of MMO's imo.
I love Savage I am having a lot of fun regardless of my horrible P3S experience, and P4S isn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be at least not phase 1 I just blitzed through it and gonna try phase 2 tomorrow.
But it feels sorta deflating when it ends and you have no more groups to join, it's like you hit a wall.
When I take on a challenge I just like to keep going at it until it's done.

I remember it was the same in WoW when I was 16-18 and was in a Guild with someone I knew and his classmates.
We had raid nights but they only really wanted to go at it for like 1-2 hours or so, I wanted to go at it until it was done or at least for quite a lot longer.
It just kinda felt bad to kill one or two bosses and then call it a day, and it's not like they had anything else going either I'd see them play other games instead as soon as they logged.
I've noticed this with statics I fill in for sometimes in FFXIV too, they do maybe 3-5 pulls or so and then it's over.

Edit: Ofc I can understand if it isn't working.
I am mainly talking about groups where you actually are progressing and people are learning and you are seeing new mechanics.
It feels like such a waste when people give up or just cba to go anymore and you haven't even been there very long.

This is why I've mostly stuck to statics, because of the consistency. But yeah anytime I wanna prog any older savages/ EXs that come out or w/e, it's annoying as hell when you just wanna no life it but your groups keep disbanding and you spend more time waiting for fills than doing anything productive. Like cool we learned the very 1st mechanic, time to calll it a day.
I just stuck to doing extra prog (non clears) in PF outside of static hours to see more, and help make the few hours we spend on prog more productive. I think next tier I'll use an alt for doing the tier through PF though.

I can usually do the same thing, if I intend on doing something I will try until I get it, but this also typically leads to burn out for me. That's the catch. It can get really bad with pugs too, if they are the reason you are being held back, and wasting your time.. but then I am too flaky to ever want to join a static or guild. When I want to do something, I want to do something, but when I don't it feels exhausting. Like dragging myself through it. I will do it anyway, as an obligation, but it completely ruins the enjoyment, and feels like a chore.

A lot of the time I'd rather not bother. It's like with the current extremes, I got the mount for hydaelyn. I did it dozens upon dozens of times until I got it, but I didn't do the same for the second, because I was already burned out at that point. In Bozja, I did the content there over and over and over and over until I got what I wanted the most (or didn't get) and due to burnout quit for a large portion of 2021.

Well, in Malenia's defense, I think she's barely sane. She requires Miquella's Needle in order to not just be a festering bag of organs. The more she relies on the Scarlet Bloom, the more she's giving herself over to the power of the Outer Gods.

Wish I could get Radahn a needle too. Maybe it'd fix his brain. Maybe not.

I enjoyed raiding back when I played WoW though the atmosphere and attitude towards it was very different back then. It feels too much like a second job these days and finding people who are reliable, friendly and genuinely trying their best is pretty tough. I'd rather not team up with a bunch of complete strangers and instead build up rapport with the same band of players each time.

Though particularly in this game, a lot of players just don't seem to want to team up even for easier content. I guess that comes with the territory - aside from FFXIV being treated like a visual novel by many players, every other individual I encounter seems to have 'anxiety' these days. I don't say that to be mean but Yoshi-P's decision to gradually turn more and more aspects of FFXIV into a single player experience isn't really my cup of tea. I just hope that another viable MMO emerges within the next few years and by that point interacting with other players becomes a novelty again that many people want to do because it's more engaging than just logging on and doing everything with NPC's.

So I have finally made up my mind to create a Reddit account once I get home.

I visit a bunch of... subreddits (idk if I'm using that correctly) on a daily basis anyways and there are some I revisit time to time so why not.

Can't be worse than Facebook (thank god I deleted that years ago).
