It makes me feel old, but I think it's mostly just that there's a big overlap with people who spam Twitch chats and stuff like Steam forums ( or forums in general ) especially.
Steam forums in particular are another beast, I have yet to see a thread that isn't toxic and doesn't derail.
In the end of the day Twitch is a niche, most people don't watch Twitch Streamers, but people who do are often very active on the internet ( if you spend like 8+ hours watching someone else play a game or talk and you also spam their chat then lets be real you don't have a lot going on in life ).
They kinda just make their presence known a lot more than the average person.

It's not even really funny in the end of the day either, just spamming the same word over and over again is something a toddler thinks is funny.
But it's not an actual joke, for a word to be an actual joke there kinda needs to be more context surrounding the use of it.
I just think that it's mostly actual kids and also very very immature adults that are the loudest in these sorts of places like Twitch chat and they kinda end up having a lot more relevance and power than they'd otherwise have.
Look at how much actual power and influence Twitter has, and yet like 80% of the Tweets are made by around 10% of the users.
It's not indicative at all of '' normal people '' but a lot of people kinda end up with that impression even marketing department and politicans do.

I feel like my brain can't comprehend TikTok's mere existence lol.
