Those graphics for the countdown reminds me a lot of Resident Evil.
It might be RE4 Remake it has already been leaked if I remember correctly.

Edit: Another remake I am worried about.
I loved the RE2 remake altho it did miss a lot of stuff from the original but it was still a really great game.
The RE3 remake I felt was too much like a generic action movie, I didn't like how Jill became such a generic '' Hollywood badass '' either ( honestly the forced swearing all the time felt on the nose and a bit cringe imo, you don't go from scared shitless to taunting and acting fearless in two seconds ).
I have a bit of a hard time taking her having a rocket explode next to her and getting flung a long distance then just walking it off seriously too, like the game tried so hard to be serious but then it like adhered to Marvel physics and realism or something.
It wasn't a horrible game or anything but just really disappointing and nowhere near as good as RE2R.

RE4 I am afraid they will make it too serious funnily enough tho, part of RE4's charm was that it was so wacky and video gamey.
It's just not the same game anymore if they try to make it too serious, and it kinda defeats the purpose then imo then they should just make a new game instead.

Yeah its most likely RE4 looking at the thematic of the countdown, I agree with you on RE3 I felt it was let down and hated how they handled Nemesis.

Agree! RE 2 Remake was so good… RE 3 also cut so many things out of the original.

Yeah. It really should have expanded the city segments. Then again, my favourite Resident Evil games are the Outbreak ones. I hope that they get a proper remake someday.

Oh gosh, now that you said it, what if the countdown does reveal a new outbreak title or maybe a remake?! That would be a very welcome suprise!

They might as well do it at some point. They keep shoehorning side games into the main games but I really do think that an authentic remaster of the Outbreak games would work out very well for Capcom. Especially if it was updated over time. Apparently there was meant to be a third game in the series but we only got the first and second.

I wouldn't say no to a new Breath of Fire game, either. Assuming Capcom still own the rights for it.

Nemesis was actually scarier in the demo imo.
As soon as you're past the demo area he turned into a joke for me because he begins getting bullied around and Jill goes into action hero mode and starts taunting him.
The '' bitch can't even swim '' thing was where I officially just went '' okay he's a joke now, I can't take it seriously anymore ''.
If Jill isn't scared then why should I be?

Unpopular opinion maybe but I had the same problem with Ethan in RE7, and I feel like they took the framework of '' badass Ethan '' and just copy pasted it unto Jill.
It feels like it belongs in a very cheesy action movie and not a horror game.

I dunno why they tried to do a new one-liner at the end too, it didn't live up to the '' You want stars? '' in the original and it was thrown in really awkwardly when Nemesis is chasing you instead.
It sorta feels like the devs don't know if they want RE to be cheesy and wacky like the old games or if they want them to be serious horror anymore.
RE2R struck the perfect balance imo, it did have some cheesy action hero lines but it never really stood out to me and felt overbearing or like it made the game not scary anymore.

I dunno why they got rid of the dismemberment too in RE3R.

The RE1 Remake was great too tho, I am glad we got some really really incredible remakes for 1 and 2 at least.
I replayed them so much and got really into the speedrunning thing and got perfect scores for all runs.

I actually miss playing that game a lot, I played it in Beta and for a pretty long while after that.
Think I only played the first expansion tho.

Malgus was a really cool villain it was a very fun MMO probably my favorite Star Wars game tbh.
Not sure why I even quit tbh I only have fond memories of it.

SWTOR is free to play. So you can play it peu à peu. I have it still installed and play it very causally.
