It took FOREVER (a few weeks), but I FINALLY got my Sabotender Emperador. I hate the Gold Saucer, so this is quite the achievement!

Is Lost Ark one of them? I know the NA version comes out in February and I’ve been watching some of the gameplay vids. Looks pretty fun so I’ll definitely be giving it a try.

I might give it a try, sure. This month has Dying Light 2, and Total War: Warhammer 3 as well. Definitely a packed month for games.

I wish I could be hyped for dying light 2, but the way they treated avellonne and how several (ex) devs of techland spoke up about their boss and his nature (one of the reasons for delays), idk anymore

Eh. Regardless of their alleged practices, they have treated the first Dying Light extremely well, even updating it up until the last minute with a bit of a lead-in event. I have pretty high expectations for Dying Light 2. Everything I have seen so far looks very promising.

But I guess more months to wait and at least there is Elden Ring on February..

I'm debating on getting a PS5 just to play FF16

I'm very pleased with it at least. I've paired it with an OLED screen and the games look fantastic. My PC could probably get better performance on some games but it's not enough of a difference to care frankly as the games look more than good enough on it for now, IMO. I mainly use that for more old school RPGs, MMOs and 4x/city sim games and work.

Only thing I'll say against it is if you have many games on at once, its storage runs out very fast... it's easy enough to get an SSD to upgrade it but it's extra cost. I don't know if I'd get it just for a singular exclusive but I assume there's other stuff you'd play on it.

I'm actually also looking forward to SoP. It's very goofy and almost like a parody FF but Jack is my kind of guy and I liked the combat system from the demo a lot, especially how they implemented WHM and BLM.

The whole Teldrassil burning... really got to me in a bad way, when I was playing WoW for a little bit. I love Night Elves, and it honestly just seemed like a 1 + 1; why be surprised that players playing a race of a certain faction are annoyed that their faction's capital was just... burned down? What a convenient excuse that the main sentinels were elsewhere and nothing could be done. Tyrande and Malfurion were reduced to nothing in that moment. I get that in fiction some convenient things need to happen "because the story/movie wouldn't happen otherwise". But... Teldrassil. Teldrassil. A more emotional me would say it's almost making a mockery of Alliance vs Horde PvP.

I didn't watch that T&E video because I really dislike Taliesin. Would rather not give the channel engagement so I've no clue what this revelation regarding Afrasiabi is. Just makes me kinda eh even now that entire capitals and cities get reduced to rubble and it never gets addressed. No "restoration" style side arc. Regions said to have been taken over by the Aliiance still have Horde minions firing cannons and attacking villages. Meh.
