I agree, but I feel a few things could be addressed because constant wall to wall pulls feel very out of wack for SGE.

    Rhizomata is too infrequent.
    Stoeria is weak.
Taurochole should have extra charges imo.
There is a gross abundance of AOE heals, but not enough for single target healing.

Of course I was a SCH main, so I'm probably heavily biased lol.

Heck yeah! Finally got weapons for my RDM and DRK from the extreme. Still no luck on the mounts, I'm lucky to roll a 15 on one of those. Now I can actually play my RDM in endgame content.

That‘s why i switched from Scholar to Sage. While many things are very similar, the job design is just way more hecking cooler. I love everything from the animations to the sound effects and the overall aesthetic!
The only thing i think is a bit lack luster is their dps kit. I was expecting more variety in their dps rotation, rather than just have more „dps“ skills with either very long CDs („Pneuma“ and „Phlegma“) or „Toxicon“ which is bound to „Eukrasian Diagnosis“, which if you time your CDs well is never used during the fights. (Well you could shield your tank during fights for extra security and get an additional addersting stack but it comes with a massive DPS loss)

Absolutely agree. And while we‘re at it please lower the CD of „Icarus“ or give it 2 charges. :,( I LOVE that skills. Such gap closers/ more mobility skills should be generally added to healer roles. Makes them more dynamic and fun. Even better when they are as good looking as „Icarus“

SCH is boring looks and animation wise, but it's been made into a beast mechanically.

I haven't had any issues with proper Tanks at 90 with Sage, but if the Tank sucks then it's noticeable more difficult on Sage you don't have as many tools to save the situation if shit hits the fan.
I actually find that it's easier to save it on SCH even, SCH isn't as traditional as WHM but you still have tools.
Sage does feel more like a combat Healer who gives up a little on the raw power in terms of Healing and you do feel it when it gets bad.

My girlfriend and I are having our third anniversary next Friday. Hard to believe we've been together for three years. Looking forward to ringing in the the new year with the start of year 4.

I got her the Skyrim cookbook for Christmas. She's opening presents with her family on Sunday.

XIV wise I finished Ranged role quests. Moved onto healer. Taking up SCH to take up SMN at the same time. Actually played SMN in roulettes today because my friend is working on Sage as he rushed and finished Reaper even though at first he was doing them in tandem. Don't know why I didn't make sense of SMN right away. It's actually rather simple now. Kind of glad I didn't, though. The RDM Verraise clutchery in the normal mode raids has been the highlight of gameplay for me this expansion, thus far.

Got SCH/SMN up to 83 tonight before GF time. Also started working on Culinarian. Got it to 85, slowed down a bit to do the Studium quests with it. Actually gathering the ingredients etc. Finally ran out of rested bonus EXP.

Work has been soft since I returned, though I managed to break the pool pump by switching it off. It sounded like it was dying. Could hear it screeching from the other side of the building. Apparently we were under corporate orders to let it run in spite of that until the new parts for it were in, because it will compromise the pool. *sigh*

That does seem to be how it felt. Again, I'm not saying I am great at sage, but I did the same pulls with a different tank and had much less trouble. I am still early on leveling sage, but when the tank gets low, I don't feel like there is a lot I can do to save the situation like I can with 1 button on WHM, if it was to come to that. Also, if the tank is a WAR there is almost no need for heals - even during bigger pulls.

Just a quick vent about this 65 DNC quest.

Why do Duskwights automatically have to be "troublemakers?" Hm? A bunch of loners suddenly congregating, they must be up to no good? HMmm? Just immediately assume the worst about them without even attempting a proper investigation?

    Racist tree huggers.

"Centuries ago, a number of Elezen sought out a life of peace and seclusion in the depths of Eorzea's caves and caverns. Today, they are called the Duskwight (シェーダー族, "Shēdā Zoku," meaning "Shader Group"), though to their Wildwood cousins they are known simply as the "Greys," after their preference for darkness and stone.[1]

These cave-dwelling Elezen are the descendants of a branch that split from the main Wildwood clan during the founding of Gridania, choosing instead to remain in the stone-hewn chambers of Gelmorra or seek out new subterranean sanctums.[2] The Duskwight despise the "shackles" of urban life, and it is not uncommon for them to avoid the city-states altogether.[3]

Some even resort to brigandry to survive and, as a result, they are often looked upon with scorn by the citizens of Gridania. Those who have chosen to make their home in the city often suffer undue discrimination at the hands of their neighbors."

    https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Duskwight

There's more to their lore though if you keep reading. Obviously racism is not okay, but this explains a lot of why Duskwights are seen as outcasts and are generally unwelcome in Gridania in a lot of cases.

TLDR: They hate conformity and opt for a more independent lifestyle, even if they have to resort to thievery to make it happen.

Just finished up the EW shared FATEs, I go to look at the rewards... 50k bicolor gemstones for this ugly Wivre mount?! I guess I'll just do this as some long time thing, and maybe eventually get it. Just to have it.
