I think I kind of suck at sage, because I do have some trouble healing big pulls with it (no wipes). White Mage I have no issues, but I suppose this is what happens when you only truly play one healer for 5 years.![]()

Have you played scholar before and tryed big pulls? IMO it‘s very similar. It‘s a bit tricky but as soon as you get used to the playstyle it‘s rather easy!
While I have leveled both SCH, and AST to max in the past. I barely remember anything of either, especially SCH. Since I'm pretty sure I would actually just do PoTD/HoH with SMN instead. I know I did some dungeons in ShB with SCH, but.. Those are classes where I immediately threw out their weapons once they hit max, and never touched again.
At least the animations on sage are kind of cool.![]()

That‘s why i switched from Scholar to Sage. While many things are very similar, the job design is just way more hecking cooler. I love everything from the animations to the sound effects and the overall aesthetic!
The only thing i think is a bit lack luster is their dps kit. I was expecting more variety in their dps rotation, rather than just have more „dps“ skills with either very long CDs („Pneuma“ and „Phlegma“) or „Toxicon“ which is bound to „Eukrasian Diagnosis“, which if you time your CDs well is never used during the fights. (Well you could shield your tank during fights for extra security and get an additional addersting stack but it comes with a massive DPS loss)
Absolutely agree. And while we‘re at it please lower the CD of „Icarus“ or give it 2 charges. :,( I LOVE that skills. Such gap closers/ more mobility skills should be generally added to healer roles. Makes them more dynamic and fun. Even better when they are as good looking as „Icarus“

I agree, but I feel a few things could be addressed because constant wall to wall pulls feel very out of wack for SGE.
Rhizomata is too infrequent.
Stoeria is weak.
Taurochole should have extra charges imo.
There is a gross abundance of AOE heals, but not enough for single target healing.
Of course I was a SCH main, so I'm probably heavily biased lol.
I haven't had any issues with proper Tanks at 90 with Sage, but if the Tank sucks then it's noticeable more difficult on Sage you don't have as many tools to save the situation if shit hits the fan.
I actually find that it's easier to save it on SCH even, SCH isn't as traditional as WHM but you still have tools.
Sage does feel more like a combat Healer who gives up a little on the raw power in terms of Healing and you do feel it when it gets bad.
That does seem to be how it felt. Again, I'm not saying I am great at sage, but I did the same pulls with a different tank and had much less trouble. I am still early on leveling sage, but when the tank gets low, I don't feel like there is a lot I can do to save the situation like I can with 1 button on WHM, if it was to come to that. Also, if the tank is a WAR there is almost no need for heals - even during bigger pulls.I haven't had any issues with proper Tanks at 90 with Sage, but if the Tank sucks then it's noticeable more difficult on Sage you don't have as many tools to save the situation if shit hits the fan.
