I am not going to continue having this discussion about whether something is or isn't flooding it we're getting into semantics you can do certain things to make it fit whatever view you want.
But when I go to the Subreddit and casually scroll and look through I don't feel like I am constantly seeing art, and I still question why people think it's such a big problem but then are totally fine with memes and shitposting.
You can dislike '' umpteenth Miqo'te commission in a given week. '' without downvoting or being an ass about it.
That is my point.
And I think a lot of people particularly with female characters have this really annoying '' I am not one of those '' mentality that they need to push in everyones face.
You can prefer something else or dislike something without shitting on the other thing.
I switched to Hyur not only because of the hair but because I wanted to be a bit different too, the difference is that I don't sit around shitting on people who play Viera, Au'Ra or Miqo'te and act like I am super unique and special and '' not like one of those ''.
And yeah if you go by what's '' hot '' it's probably going to be more positive it is a bit of a mix, it just depends on whether the haters see it or not.
If they see it too late I don't think they'll go in and risk getting downvoted to lose their precious karma, but if they get to set the narrative in the comments they'll do it.
Edit: Quite recently there was a big meme on the Subreddit about how Miqo'te players look the same, it was a joke.
But the comments are basically just people unironically shitting on Miqo'te players and other conventionally attractive characters and bragging about how much better they are because they play a Hyur or whatever and wear the artifact armor and not those '' icky '' armors.
You'll see it as soon as the narrative becomes established how people come out the woodworks.
Even with memes and jokes people manage to spin it a lot of the time.
Some people just need to learn that they're not the center of the universe and that they don't need to drag others down all the time to feel better about themselves.
It's the same with people calling others weebs and giving them shit for playing FFXIV or the same with WoW, just stop, relax and let people enjoy things in peace.
