Then we are reminded just how young we are! I've always felt very young when I interacted with mmorpg players. I'm usually the youngest or among the youngest of any particular friend group, clan/guild, whatever I've been in.

This! The second youngest in my friend group is 27. They were 5 when I was a baby.

Part of what sucks about being this age is the nostalgia for that time right before my own, for me. If I’d been born just THREE years earlier I’s probably have been in the right age group to fit in with my interests and appearance. RIP.

Well, I'm a part of that age group, and I will admit I do feel kind of old actually when interacting with most people in their early 20's. I guess we are the very last millennials, but I definitely don't feel connected to older millennials.

When I first got my own account for FFXI all of the friends I made were within 8~20 years older than me over the years. I think there was only one time when there was a player younger than me. As I recall, she was a Tarutaru named Noobergoober, but I may have misremembered, and she may have been a year older than me rather than younger, lol.

My first mmorpg was SWTOR, and I played on a PvP server with a few PvP guilds, and STILL most were quite older than me (a good 10 years). I met some of my best friends who were my age (or near) during this time though (my late teens). We actually had a woman who was in her 60's in one of our guilds.

I play with some people twice as old as I am/old enough to be my parent (I'm 23) but I never think much about age in the first place, "We're all adults" kind of deal.
