I mixed it up. I was never straight Paragon or Renegade. Yeah it locks me out of some options later on but that's what NG+ was for.
I was full on paragon for the whole trilogy until the prompt appear when Kai Leng tried to backstab me. Never press a button so fast in my life, killing this poser was almost worth having him harass me the whole game.
