Yeah altho I mostly played Red Orchestra.
It's pretty different tho, Insurgency has smaller maps you run into enemies pretty early.
So if someone on your team runs ahead and doesn't have a good visual indicator that they're friendly it's basically impossible to see, you basically have to make a split second guess.
And they can make themselves look VERY similar to the default appearance of the enemy even.
You go into a room or turn around a corner and you see someone in full tacticool with no name tag or anything and they could either be friendly or an enemy because of their skin it's impossible to see.

It's a pretty common complaint in Insurgency that they're adding too many skins and that they look too silly and makes it hard to see, the game was originally basically marketed as a more hardcore and semi '' realistic '' FPS but it doesn't sell skins I guess :P.

I still remember one time watching a friend fight a basilisk BAM in the desert area. He was fighting it solo and then suddenly the BAM turned around and ran away, hiked a 120 foot wall, circled back around, and came back behind him for no reason at all.

We were both like 'wtf did we just bear witness to?'

That was also the game where we realized the Lancer tank class could block lava.
Elin is probably one of the most blatant '' bait '' race I've seen in a MMO like this, I think they were legit off-putting to people who otherwise enjoyed the visual aesthetic.
I can't think of any other that took it as far.

In BDO they do have a '' child character '' too but based on what I've seen ( at least in EU/ NA ) she's just cutsey basically, the Elin were pretty out there.
