Not a book and maybe a bit too Sherlock Holmes for you.
But have you played Danganronpa?

It's basically an Anime novel game series revolving around murder mysteries you have to solve.
Pretty fun imo, Danganronpa 2 especially was probably my favorite.

I've played Danganronpa games yes, at least the first! Made a start into the second but I'm keeping that one aside for now. Good game series!

Have you tried the Dresden Files?

Never heard of those, so will check them out! Thanks!
