God, the sheer amount of low effort trolls before EW comes out is staggering. I'm this close to accepting a forum ban to speak my mind.

Not worth it, even if you were to come out with what you think would be a well thought out reply. The joy in it for a troll is the attention alone; just seeing their post interacted with. Often times, it's over something that doesn't actually matter to them whatsoever, or being so sure in their own opinion on whatever subject, that posting said opinion, is meant to simply rile up others who have a different one. Heck, riling up others alone is the intent much of the time.

If you want my advice: don't interact at all. You ever notice how I am almost never seen posting in supposed "troll threads"? If I do post, I am usually just talking about whatever subject seriously with someone else other than the OP of said threads? I'm probably never seen giving my actual opinion on any of the threads or any specific users on here. Not worth it, and against the forum ToS/guidelines.

If you need to vent, I suggest third party: like Discord. No sense in getting mad over some nonsense and eating a ban. Remember, making a personal attack is bannable whether it's directed at a supposed "troll" or not, and a "troll" will bait users into making one, and then report them.
