So some time ago back in December one of our bakers slipped on black ice, broke her ankle and screwed up her other leg, and so far she's been out of commission. My ABM was out on surgery leave for 8 weeks to correct his sleep apnea, which I didn't realize was a thing as I thought he had surgery on his neck for one of his major neck veins.

My boss didn't realize I could bake as well on top of decorating. So when he finally remembered, 'hey, this one can bake too' despite his previous discrimination, put me on baking duty for the past couple of months. Yes, I did learn how to do nearly everything at my previous store since we were tremendously short-handed on staff to the point where I would be repeatedly denied vacation time because 'someone else was going' and would be forced to give it up for them to go, as they were more important.

It's been rough waking up at 2 am so I can be at work by 3 and have nearly all of the morning bread and breakfast items ready or nearly ready by 7 am. It's been rougher being next to a hot oven and coming home drenched in sweat, and not being able to keep water nearby so I don't pass out. It's also been rough as I've had big shoes to fill, as the baker that's out somehow always made her stuff perfect. Especially the sugar cookies.

I keep overhearing the decorator's talking sh*t about me on the other side, and they're saying it loud enough that I can hear it but not to my face. Usually they're talking about how tough it is without me, and I'm like 'holy crap was I that much of a crutch for you?'

Earlier today I heard that she's going to be out even longer as her insurance denied her the prescribed physical therapy so she could get back to work, and it might be another two months before she can even stand back on her feet again.

...yay. Another two months to endure.

So I almost got abducted in the parking lot yesterday morning while trying to get into work. Saw a light blue minivan casing my store's parking lot at 4:38 am, and when I had to leave my car to get in, they very quickly drove over and one of the guys that was hanging out of the passenger side window of the minivan was screaming at me to get my attention. Once the car stopped, he beckoned me to come over, to which I just stayed put. Young latino teen with a silly parted barbershop hairdoo was looking at me, smirking.

He asks first for my age, I reply. He then asks for my name. Any normal person would not ask for such information that early in the morning unless you intend to do something terrible to another.

I realize what he was trying to do and replied back, "Sir, I have to get to work."

This pissed him off, as seeing 6 other people in the van start to move inside but since I was keeping my distance they didn't get out. I could make out their shapes in the parking lot lights, but couldn't tell if they were armed.

"Why you callin' me sir? Sir this, sir that. F*ckin' stupid. F*ck you!" as they sped off, probably realizing I'm not being an easy target. I replied back with him to jank off and rot. I had to run in and tell my boss about it so he could check the footage to give to police.

I didn't think I'd have to start my Tuesday morning like that.

Almost 20 years ago I was a little Airman Apprentice in the Sasebo Ginza talking with someone who I didn't know at that time would eventually become my best friend in the whole world and Brother-In-Law about a game I've never heard of called Super Robot Wars Alpha 3. A game that I thought I'd have to settle with the SEA version of releases but not any more! Sometime this year we're getting SRW Y in an OFFICIAL English release!

With at least one Macross entry!

Never thought I'd live to see another non OGS SRW get an official release in the west! Not in a non anniversary style.

That moment when you turn your computer on before work and start watching videos on youtube super early in the morning.

That moment when you're 10 minutes into another Spoonful of Ragdolls video update and hear a pop from your computer.

That moment when your intake and outtake fans stop working because of it.

That moment when you frantically your computer maker's tech support about the issue.

That moment when they send out a new fan controller because the previous one blew something.

That moment when you plug it in and find that the hard drive you have your entire Steam game library on is no longer accessible because of the swap.

That moment when you realize the pop from the fan controller blowing damaged your hard drive.

That moment you realize you've got massive saves and screenshots on there that will probably not be able to be retrieved.

That moment you sigh and go get a new hard drive, but now realize you have no idea how to open up the cage holding the old hard drive, let alone be able to see the actual dimensions of the hard drive so it can fit.

...I hate my life.

Today was literally the WORST day I've had in a long time in XIV, to everyone in my party earlier today, I AM SORRY T.T I forget the dungeon, but it's a 100 dungeon and the first boss can jump off a cliff. Either I'm just bad and had stupid reaction times or the boss is just too fast. Context, it was my second time in there and the O's and X'x confused the snot out of me. Dying to them repeatedly cause I was too slow to react, I told my friend to vote abandon it as I have no KB and she did. The worst performance from me in a LONG time. I hate being that bad.

So...while I was able to fix my issue with my hard drive (turns out the fan controller was drawing so much it was causing my hard drive to have a stroke), I will say the fix was so simple and stupid and my hands are covered in scrapes because of how the guys did it when I had ordered the computer.

Now I can't get the side of the case back on since the fan cables are unable to be freed from their ziptie prison, as the prison is so tight I can't even cut it without damaging the cables. Thanks CLX! ):<
