So a couple months ago the maintenance guy at work quit, because he was tired of dealing with half the equipment falling apart and trying to Macguyver it back into working order (a lot of the machines are so old that the correct parts are no longer manufactured, so they have to be custom ordered, which takes forever.....if management can be talked into paying for it), while also having to put in 60+ hour weeks because they wouldn't hire more help. He was professional enough to answer a couple of call backs for emergencies, but he was clearly getting pissed off about it, because the guy hired to replace him is.....let's be nice and call him a slow learner. The last time the old guy came back, he came about a hair's breadth from taking a swing at the new guy and had to be walked back to his truck by the floor supervisor.

Today we had a visit from OSHA with a bunch of "concerns" about several of the issues the old guy left over.

    Coincidence?

Oh god we have this same issue at my warehouse, a lot of the systems and machines just suck and are outdated. We're running on programming from outsourced companies from 2011, the most up-to-date stuff I've seen is like microsoft office 2013. Plus they refuse to give IT any overtime pay so if something breaks at night or on weekends (which my shift) it's basically "Oh well, wait for it to work again"

I admit, going from 60fps for other games on my PC to playing Starfield at 30fps on my XBOX was a bit jarring at first, but my brain adjusted fairly quickly to it. There's a reason why most console players have stated that they'd prefer better graphics than higher framerate, it's just not something most people care about. Sure, if we're talking under 20 fps, it gets real nasty, but 30 is playable for most people.

Finally got my hands on a Gundam I've been after for a while now, the Master-grade Sengoku Astray. And then added a third party set of extra swords. Because two wasn't enough, if they're gonna give it extra arms, it needs enough swords for them all, damnit.

Of course, now it has more swords than hands. Hrm.

Just watched M3gan, omg, it was so great. The dance scene was absolutely perfect, especially with the song choice lol. I was dying.

Cancelled my Prime membership today. It's been a decade or so, but it's time I think. The ads they're adding was sort of the tipping point. At least I got $100 back from my subscription I had paid in early December, so that's cool. That's like 7 touchless car washes!!

I don't have a lot of nice things to say about Amazon anymore and it would take too long to complain about it.

I ordered a light fixture for my mom's kitchen from Home Depot (three pages of Amazon had nothing useful, so I gave up there), along with a set of bulbs to go with it. The bulbs were shipped to my house by UPS (great!), but the fixture itself wasn't in stock (of course) and will only ship to the store, so I have to go pick it up. The nearest Home Depot is 100 miles away...
