Yeah I have been working on my backlog too. I'm doing a few rounds of Killing Floor 2 so I can prestige some of my classes, then FF7R on PC so gonna have full platinum that again, then on occasion Division 2. Gonna work on a red build this time.I'm working on Assassin's Creed Valhalla right now, Armored Core 6 comes out later this week, and the Super Mario RPG remake comes out around my birthday. Also thinking about picking up Baldur's Gate 3 when the PS5 version comes out next month. And the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC some time in the fall. Plus an ever-growing backlog. I've got plenty to keep me busy.
As I mentioned in another thread somewhere, I might take a month or two off of FFXIV just for the sake of a break. Gonna depend how much I want from the moogle tomes. But even then, running an alliance raid a day doesn't take too long.

I really don't know why people willingly have kids...let alone several. The last three days have been super annoying when I step outside. There is the quiet Chinese buffet place I walk to that I get some food and pick at it slowly while reading. In walks a family with 5 kids all one year apart. They are all screaming bloody murder. The parents dont even say one word to each other the entire HOUR I was there. Just...screaming and crying. They finally leave...and another family of four comes in. SAME EXACT THING. No words...just screaming. Both sets of parents just looked dead inside.
Then I go to work...kids be screaming and crying nearly constantly. Parents just tune it out.
My dad is all like "Oh hey you should have a girl so I can finally have a grand daughter" and I flat out told him I will never have a kid period. He seemed hurt by that but sorry I will not give up my happiness so he can have a 5th grandchild.

One problem is parents walking away from the parenting role. Also, a lot of parents actually don't know how to raise children. I was shocked by the amount of bad advice I was receiving from parents when I had my daughter.
From my experience, a lot of couples have children because they are expected to, not because they want to. Nobody prepares them to become parents. Especially at this modern age, parenting is completely different now than what it used to be.
Also, children who grew up during the pandemic were isolated from society and human interaction for too long. This negatively affected their behavior.

My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul

Knowing my luck, my workplace will either stay open despite the winds and dangerous conditions, or close and then call us employees back in to reopen.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.

Hope both of you stay safe and if your work calls you in tell them you'll be happy to if they send a boat your way.
