Bonus if it doesn't give the other job's full skill list, just four buttons to hit, so people will complain about that too.

Y'know, maybe it wouldn't be as hard as I'm thinking.
The first boss in Lost City of Amdapor HM had the ability to clone player character's appearances. Other dungeons have had us glamour a few times into monsters or other things like zombies, so we could be glammed into the copied appearance of the other players.
They could then give us the simplified skillset based on the character's job, which they already have several variations of, and while it wouldn't be fully accurate, it'd still give the same effect. Frustration against the unknown, hehe. Just for a short time. Maybe twice in the fight if the group is slow to kill the boss.

So FFXI has private servers where some committed data miners basically jacked the game's code and made their own servers. It's kind of cool, I guess. I've not heard much good about them. Heard about a lot of fun jank restricted around the level 75 cap (an era that spanned from December 13th 2003 until June 22nd 2010).
Wonder if private servers could/would ever happen to FFXIV, and if they did, then would there even be a nostalgia coated era that the people would rally around? I don't think so, but then again, maybe they already do for 1.0 in some really jank capacity? Huh. Weird thought.

Private servers are usually emulations. They imitate a real server but they use their own code because they do not have the access to the sourcecode of the original servers.
Cheers

That's so sad to be honest... But oh well![]()
I like seeing other people's characters, personally. Plus it helps make regular posters stand out more when you recognise their avatar or signature at a glance.
Got bored, decided to burn one of the fantasias I bought during the sale to become a calico. Probably take some pictures tomorrow.
So no matter what group I get in random pugs I've been either #2, 3, or 4 on the hate list whilst playing mch or drg.
I guess I found what I'm inherently good at. Or every single pug is just that bad that me doing the basics of the job (without a guide so no "efficient rotation" stuff) is just going to be that good. Either way I... might be switching my main job.
:P I always recognize you! you've got a really recognizable name and also every single toon you make is a really nice looking blondie.
I've got an addiction to the Aesthetician and Jandelaine has probably made a KILLING off of me, with the amount of times I change my hair. So I hope my forum siggy is at least recognizable enough to counteract that lmao.
