Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

someone...
save me from DPS queue purgatory
...
for real though, leveling DPS in the laziest way (dungeon spamming) ends up resulting in regular bouts of burnout for me, JUST because of the queues.
big mood, been leveling classes before endwalker and the only ones left are BRD and NIN (and WAR but tank queues lol), and even with 1-2 friends helping usually, it's such a pain in the butt to get a dungeon in under 15 minutes

when i level healers and tanks, i never experience the insane amounts of queue burnout because queues go by in 5 mins or less. unfortunately for that reason alone im keeping astro, war, and pld for last.
on a different note altogether! i got an mmo mouse (the logitech g600) and by god is it a trip to learn how to actually use it lol. i keep accidentally pressing the g-shift button when i try to right click.

Shadowbringers is the first expansion I ever actually got all the combat classes (not BLU) to max, and I've been through three. Just because of the burnout. I didn't even have PLD leveled until late last year I'm pretty sure. I liked to level my tanks over time though, for their mounts. The tank mounts I have are from DF dungeons; the slow grind. Might as well have something to passively earn while doing DF roulettes. Gunbreaker is pretty convenient since you can earn both mounts directly from it.when i level healers and tanks, i never experience the insane amounts of queue burnout because queues go by in 5 mins or less. unfortunately for that reason alone im keeping astro, war, and pld for last.

I really want the Amaro mount before EW. once i level all my classes to 80 though, i'm definitely taking a much needed break outside of my regular tues/thurs ex stuffShadowbringers is the first expansion I ever actually got all the combat classes (not BLU) to max, and I've been through three. I've been changing housing exterior's wall all time right now, can't decide one and easily get bored lol.
I'm looking forward to having stuff to level again. I'm not really an 'alt character' person, at least not in a game such as this so I've been stuck at level cap for a while now.

Two components away from four submarines... one submarine up in modified, but it still hasn't brought me a Gestahl Painting nor an Icebox. *sigh*
Other than that, I've been back in FFXI, replaying its story just to re-experience it with a fully developed brain. Probably said something on it before, but man, I always forget how jank the cutscene activation triggers can be in XI. I totally forgot that some just trigger upon approach to a specific coordinate, while others happen upon zoning, while still others happen upon login... it feels like a madhouse compared to XIV hehe. It's kind of made recording it a touch difficult for me, too. Fortunately there's rewatch methods such as Goblin Footprints or Town Minstrels.
Beyond that I've been driving myself mildly insane overanalyzing npcs in XIV, as well as patterns on architecture. Currently tinfoil hatting stuff about Aulus mal Asina having been under body possession at the time of his demise by our hands. Probably off my rocker, but certain patterns that adorn the wall lead up to his boss room are vaguely reminiscent of Ascian energy masks, and when he dies, I could swear there's a split second where a phantom of sorts rises in vapor off his body (I've gotta record and rewatch frame by frame to verify though). Then there's the mention on his minion of him being vulnerable to voidsent possession? *wraps tinfoil hat tighter* Maybe Fandaniel will at least get that sick cybernetic magitek floaty cruiser chair of his. Telotek the shit out of it!
Overanalyzing his last name lead me on a chase for the name, "Ashina." Which comes up with Turkish/Chinese/Japanese origins. The Turkish/Chinese one relates to a mythological wolf origin story where a subset of folks trace their lineage to a beautiful woman bearing the children of a wolf. The JP one was a lot more boring. Just some clan from a prefecture in Tokyo, though it obviously showed up in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (where I assumed it was entirely fictional for that fantastical variant of the Sengoku Jidai).
Could definitely do with November's end getting here, so I can take my time off from work and be pointed in another direction.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
Aulus was woefully underutilised for how important his experimentation ended up being. I'm glad that his research spread to both Werlyt and Bozja, though.
I'm hoping we get the launch trailer soon. I want more story stuff to talk about and dissect. The media tour was nice and all, though if the pattern follows then the launch trailer will have some heavy lore bombs to discuss.
