I played WoW once, back in like 2004 at a friend's house in between Halo 2 splitscreen pvp.
I think I got to level 4 on a Gnome something or other. I thought to myself, "This could interesting, but I think I'll stick to FFXI."

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore

I played WoW from mid-Burning Crusade to early Legion, with a few breaks here and there (mostly in Warlords). I have a lot of fond memories, but I didn't like where the game was going, so I left.
Won't lie, I miss it sometimes, but my PC won't run it anymore and I don't care enough to upgrade it just for that. Or to buy the, what, three expansions that've come out since then? So, alas, my Darkspear beastmaster and her pack of devilsaurs will stay retired for the foreseeable future.
I tried the free trial for a month, but got really bored with it. Gameplay was too simple.

I know it's a cliche and all, but it does get more interesting later. And Blizzard is more willing to experiment with weird and oddball fight mechanics (things like the Spine of Deathwing fight in Dragon Soul), even if they don't always work out well. You just have to get through a lot of slow, dull leveling to get there.
Sorta like ARR.

I just can't play MMOs with a keyboard and mouse :sweats: I think WoW has a mod that enables gamepads but I tend to forget about it and just rage at Alien Isolation.

I have mid-back-length hair (not quite butt-length when straight, but naturally curly enough that it's almost never that straight), believe me, I know all about getting random hairs in annoying places. Usually I can at least find them, but once in a while I just get one in an odd spot that I can't quite grab, or it moves away when I go for it, or something else happens and I just have to put up with it for a while.
