I'm glad I got all the weapon pieces I need, so I never have to do this weekly raid again. I can go for the glamour later.. if I even want to use any of it. White mage is all I need.

Side note, I do enjoy how personal the forum has gotten as of late. Thread topics completely disregarded. The funny part is that it's all bannable for off-topic, slander, etc.. if a moderator wanted to enforce it.

So while cleaning out some stuff in the pantry a few days ago I found some old recipes that my mom had stored in one of the drawers. I'm guessing they were magazine clip-outs of stuff she wanted to try but never got around to doing.

One of them was called Pickle Cheesecake. Supposedly it's meant to be a savory cheesecake, which is odd.

So I gathered up the ingredients, got them together, baked it, and took a bite.

It was the WORST thing I've ever tasted. Like pure wrongness and despair with curdled cucumber. Ended up tossing the rest of it in the garbage and tried to fan out the smell from the kitchen.

I have since consigned that clipping to a sealed envelop and shoved it in the outside bins where hopefully no other poor soul attempting to fish out my garbage at the dump will ever come across this...horrible kind of assault on the human tongue.

Omg I just googled the pickle cheese cake... who the hell in their right mind would create this monstrosity and decide it was good?!?! It is an abomination to cheese cake and Cincierta you did the right thing to throw it out.. though I probably would have burnt the recipe myself.

Considering there are other dishes just as disgusting around the world, it's my theory that every country or every culture has at least one person who nuked their own tastebuds and somehow their cooking became "tradition". Today it's pickles, tomorrow it's rocks, mark my words.

INGREDIENTS
FOR THE CRUST
1 1/2 c. Crushed Pretzels
5 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
FOR THE FILLING
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 (10 oz.) log goat cheese
3/4 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. pickle juice
3 large eggs
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan
2 c. finely chopped pickles, divided
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp. finely chopped dill, plus more for garnish
2 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. onion powder
Freshly ground black pepper
Toasted bread, for serving
