The problem with game streaming is, that it has propably not so many potential customers. The casual gamers, who do not want a PC/PS5/Xbox can play browser games for free. They only need a smartphone and that's it. They do not need to buy the games and pay 10 bucks per month on top of it. And the non-casual-gamers will propably buy a PC/PS5/Xbox because of better latency, better image quality, tuning options etc. The only customers i see are people who do not want to play browser games and also do not want to buy a (new) PC/PS5/Xbox. But i highly doubt, that there are many of them.
You have two somehow successful game streaming services with Geforce Now and Xbox cloud gaming. But this are not the main products of both companies. The Xbox Cloud Gaming is a side project, the main product is still the console. But you can have the option to play your Xbox console games in the cloud on a differeent device. And this is completely different what Google did.
Cheers
