Well, unless you download it from an archive. Remember, after the 3DS eshop goes down, TECHNICALLY it'll be legal to download the game from a rom site because Nintendo is no longer making money off it.The worst part was that I sprung for the special edition of Fates with all three routes on one card. On the other hand, when the 3DS online shop goes down next year, that'll be the only way to play the Revelation route for anyone who hadn't already downloaded it, so at least it might be worth a bit then.
Sure, but that depends on people actually knowing how to do that. Besides, some collector will still want the physical copy. Still have the full box, the art book, and the preorder keychains, too.
Modding a 3ds is super easy now a days. I'm a good boi so I wouldn't know anything about things like seedmining and soundhaxing. :^)
Been playing DNC a lot this expansion, well since the CC PvP came out, though I dropped CC until the next series rewards are available. I should probably actually gear it (don't check my lodestone). I don't actually do any level 90 content on it.I've always played it a little bit, but I used to think it was very tedious, I guess I got over that. I am pretty sure I do do more damage on RDM though.

DNC is the bottom of the barrel in terms of DPS. But a good DNC can highlight who is undergeared or doesn't know a rotation. If the DNC is #2 on the aggro list in a level 90 dungeon, then the other DPS is dying constantly, is not yet fully geared, or doesn't know what they're doing. This is highlighted worse in a 8-man content where nobody has died or gotten a damage down. Was #3 on the aggro list behind both tanks...without food or potting. Moments like that I just stare at everybody and say (not in chat) "...why am I the highest DPS here?"Been playing DNC a lot this expansion, well since the CC PvP came out, though I dropped CC until the next series rewards are available. On the aggro list I am often #2 or even #1 even sometimes in the content I do. Mostly things like Orbonne, and the like.. which I find odd. Often times I am higher up than my partner. If DNC is literally bottom tier in terms of personal DPS that's pretty sad for sure. I'll have to check level 90 stuff, but I probably will still gear up my RDM first to an adequate level first. The threat meter is not a valid measurement of damage. I've out-aggro'd competent black mages and samurai as a dancer or bard many times.
For how long?
Agro works the same way as damage, save for the fact that tanks have enmity multipliers, and also that enmity can generate on all agro'd targets from heals.
On top of that, Enmity on a critical hit is still at 1.1x enmity modifier.
On any singular target, namely bosses, there is no possibility of a Dancer out agroing competent SAMs or BLMs or any of the other DPS that have staggering personal DPS leads on them. At least not for any stellar amount of time. Any job with a lot of spike damage will out agro and out damage other jobs as soon as they spike, but their DPS overtime will level off. If you crit your spike, your enmity might lead for a bit longer, especially if your fellow DPS don't crit their spike. You'll also lead a little longer if you engaged first.
But once you take that into account, then yeah, Enmity as a general rule of thumb is a totally valid measurement of damage. Especially now that pet jobs have their pets hate tied to their master, unlike before.
Like, obviously if you jumped up in enmity due to healing waltz or w/e XIV calls it, then obvs that's not DPS. But healing in general adds less to enmity than damage anyway(barring tank multipliers), so that should be rare outside of 8 man stuff.
Like sure, you can't say definitively that you're out DPSing someone if you're leading them on enmity, but if you're 4 minutes into a boss fight and leading them on enmity with all context taken into account(oh look that lazy SAM hasn't been doing Higanabana this whole fight...) then it's pretty safe metric.

You'll come to find that a large portion of the playerbase is extremely lazy, and not always tuned in to try their best in a lot of content that's not Savage or higher. Sometimes it's willfully lazy, but most of the time it's just, "Hey, I'm here to have fun, so what if I miss a few GCDs every minute?"On the aggro list I am often #2 or even #1 even sometimes in the content I do.
