I think they did it in order to appease Nintendo. You know how they feel about their "family friendly" image.Tbh it's just stupid to me the game even gets that.
It's odd to see Bayonetta of all games appeal to prudes like that, especially when other games with sexualized content don't.
Kinda goes against the overall tone and character imo.
I watched the new trailer and Bayonetta herself is great but holy hell wtf is that new character xD...
As soon as she entered the screen the trailer went completely downhill it honestly has me really worried...
In all honesty the only thing that looks good in the trailer is Bayonetta, as soon as it cuts to anything else it just looks bad imo :/.
Well that's mainly for their own IP's, as far as I know at least they're actually very lenient on what third parties do.
There's a lot of games that Sony demands dev censors that Nintendo don't.
Honestly tho it's a different team working on it, and I do think it's noticeable.
I think it might just be a corporate decision because they think it'll sell more copies or something.
I mean I've been asking for toggles instead of full-on censorship enforced for everyone since forever for games.
I really hate censorship with a passion it's one of the few things that actually does get me legit upset, I care a lot about artists being free to create their vision without being pestered by publishers and other third party interests.
Movies and tv shows are plagued by this too, it's ridiculous how much censorship goes on behind the scenes for movies to maximize profits a lot of directors and writers have spoken out about how widespread it is and it genuinely makes movies worse.
But I dunno, in Bayonetta I almost feel like it compromises it in a way.
It's kinda like turning gore off for Mortal Kombat I just feel weird about it for that game in particular it feels like it goes too much against the fundamental vision and tone of the game, kinda the same with Bayonetta here if that makes sense.
Not saying it's a huge deal since it's optional but part of me just feels like it's wrong in this particular case.
Edit: It also makes games feel less like art to me, like you can change and '' customize '' it in ways that weren't the actual intended vision of the creators.
If you could do this with paintings I think it'd kinda diminish the works, I just feel very odd about it and like it sorta makes it '' lesser '' in a way.
I also think if they're gonna cater to people like this then it shouldn't be one-sided.
How about people who prefer gore or sexualized content?
Why can't they get toggles that increases it for games?
Why is it always prudes that get catered to.
But yeah I am just kinda throwing my thoughts out there.

Better to give the option than have the people behind Bayonetta 3 get harrased by the twitard mob. Plus,it was named "Naive Angel", so I think the curent team behind it is also usong that option as an opportunity to make fun of the screeching karens and cool-aid haired crew.Tbh it's just stupid to me the game even gets that.

Best to just wait and see and check out reviews/playthroighs for yourself. Personally, I plan on picking up the game as soon as it comes out.

I'd heard rumor that they included the censored mode in the new Bayonetta so that the game could garner a higher audience by being streamable on Twitch. Not sure if true, though.

Got all Jobs to 90, didn't even rly think about it or do it intentionally it just kinda happened xD.
This is the first expansion I leveled all of them to max, BRD in particular was always left behind but I decided to level it this time.
A bit disappointed tbh we didn't get a mount this time, the hat thing tho is okay I guess.
Considering leveling all of the professions to 90 too, I am working on Culnarian at least and then I've already got Botanist, Fisher and Weaver.
Some of the mats are really expensive tho lol, I am throwing quite a lot of gil on leveling Culnarian.
Oh and finished BiS on BLM too, another one.
Not sure what I want to play in the next tier at first tbh.
Considering maybe Tank or Healer since it'd be easier to find groups I think.
People on a certain forum beginning with '' R '' are apparently mad about the name of the mode rofl.Better to give the option than have the people behind Bayonetta 3 get harrased by the twitard mob. It's just odd to me because the skin showing isn't even the most sexual thing.
Especially with the argument people make about '' wat if muh parents see it '', so it'd be okay if they heard a bunch of moaning while the characters are doing sexual poses but some skin showing that's where the line is drawn?
Either way tho people are just dumb about nudity.
The Twitch thing I dunno, not sure exactly where they draw the line for that content I mean then you couldn't stream FFXIV either xD.
When I was a kid I used to watch movies with my parents too with sex scenes and full on nudity and it wasn't weird at all, people just make it weird themselves.
Edit: I lived close to a beach too and at the end of a bridge there was a restaurant and a sauna, so summer time people were just naked there too and no one made a big deal out of it either.
Not saying people can't be uncomfortable with whatever but it's when people enforce that view on others it upsets me, and I don't like how only certain peoples wants get catered to.
It's the same with stuff like revealing gear, I don't think that it's fair that only people who dislike it get taken into consideration in similar cases.
While people who enjoy it are basically mocked and attacked if they ask for options they like.

Anyone else feels like the new Amazon LOTR trailers have this odd fake feel to them?
It's like everyone is told to pose for a magazine and every shot feels so overly produced and too clean.
It kinda just feels like it's all meant to be pretty and that's about it
I can at least appreciate practical effects, the Orcs do look far too clean imo but I do like that they're wearing actual costumes and makeup and aren't CGI.
I feel the same way, but I have hope. I have so much hope for this one. The 2nd age has a lot of starting points for stuff down the line(third age stories that we have mostly seen)
If it does well enough I'd love to see a series around Melkor or the War of Wrath from the first age.

Most of the appearance of the orcs in the LotR movies were already makeup. Just vastly better makeup than this.Anyone else feels like the new Amazon LOTR trailers have this odd fake feel to them?

I think that's true in the original trilogy yeah, I don't think it's true in the Hobbit movies tho.
But yeah.
I do think the Orcs look way too clean in the Amazon show based on what I've seen tho, I liked more how dirty and slimey they looked in the original trilogy.
They looked very realistic while the Amazon ones kinda have this odd '' dude wearing a mask '' look.
