Bleach was pretty good. I got tired of it after a while though, particularly around the Espada arc or whatever. I watched both Fullmetal Alchemist animes. Samurai Champloo was the big deal for me around that time. I'll never get over the fight with Sara.Bleach was my thing! As well as, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Neon Genesis Evangelion (both the movies and the series), Deadman Wonderland, Nabari no Ou, among other lesser known animes. Nowadays I think the only kind of “early 2000s style” anime we’ve got is Boku no Hero Academia, and that comes with its own set of issues, lol.

But I think I got so exhausted after getting caught up on Gintama xD, it's the same with One Piece I kinda want to give it a try too but these shows are just so long and I don't like leaving things half-watched.
They're also very dangerous for me, because I binge things very easily that's what I did with Gintama I just binged it from beginning to current I can't stop once I start.
If it makes you feel better, wait until the Final Arc is done. They put the show on hiatus in 2012, at 366 episodes, and this winter they're releasing the last arc. This way you'll know there's a definite end. Unlike the other big 3 of the time period (Naruto, One Piece). Bleach has enough of a solid structure that it was able to end whenever it wanted, and continue whenever it wanted, with no crazy stretching and reaching for plot threads. Even when The main character seemingly loses what makes him the main character, there's still plot points from all the way in the first season to tie up.I've been wanting to give Bleach a try, because a lot of the characters look cool.

Best arc to end if you need a break is after the Aizen arc, because it ties up a LOT with a nice bow.
Then we are reminded just how young we are! I've always felt very young when I interacted with mmorpg players. I'm usually the youngest or among the youngest of any particular friend group, clan/guild, whatever I've been in.

When I first got my own account for FFXI all of the friends I made were within 8~20 years older than me over the years. I think there was only one time when there was a player younger than me. As I recall, she was a Tarutaru named Noobergoober, but I may have misremembered, and she may have been a year older than me rather than younger, lol.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
When it comes to anime, I'm only really familiar with Attack on Titan and Death Note.
I'm not really a fan of the 'slice of life' stuff. Especially when there's multiple seasons and it just sort of drags on.
As for age? I don't feel old yet, even with a sister eight years younger than I.
I keep in shape, don't smoke and don't drink much in the way of alcohol though - and it really pays off because pretty much all the people I grew up with look a good decade or more older than I do.

Dragon's Dogma, Kakegurui, Hero Mask, Last Hope, Knights of Sidonia, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Ergo Proxy. The last IMO was particularly good, and about as far as you can get from a slice of life anime. Need to re-watch it at some point.
Violet Evergarden came a bit closer to being one, but it was more of a tragic tale of romantic loss and PTSD.
Genuine slice of life animes would probably bore me to tears.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Yeah, they were all pretty good. There's a few more we watched.

Much like with some FFXIV characters, where I switch off with anime is where they become too focused on hero worship/ignoring consequences and nuance.
